I sat down on one of those fallen pillars you usually see in some spots of the Sograt Desert. My companion, a male thief, consulted the large, seemingly obsolete map that he had with him.
"Jeicho, how sure are you that we're in the right path?" The silver haired thief with icy blue eyes smiled at me.
"I know this continent more than you do, Kiev. Trust me." After that brief rest we started walking in the hot desert sun. Did it take that long to reach Morroc from Prontera by foot?
Just then Jeicho stumbled.
"Ouch!"
I looked at him, surprised. It just seemed unnatural to me for a thief to fall down on his backside like that.
"Are you all right?" I helped him to stand up.
"Yeah..." He was looking at the spot where he had tripped. Now that I looked at it, there was something protruding beneath the sand. He kneeled before that... thing, whatever it is, and started to dig. "Mind if you would help?" He asked after a while.
"Okay?"
In a few minutes of digging we unearthed a large black case. On its front were two guild emblems, one being a blue skull and the second, a red circle with golden edges and a magnificently laid golden I in the middle, serving as locks for the case. I looked at him tentatively. His face was filled with shock.
"This is the emblem of the Accoulta, right?" He nodded as he stroked the blue emblem. Jeicho seemed to have a fondness for this kind of things. But hey, the locks are made of gold, right? "How about the second emblem?"
"Illuminati." He paused. "Would you mind if I'd take a look at this?" he asked as he drew his stilletto. I shrugged. Curiousity killed the cat. But in this case, I feel as if I'm the one who's gonna die of fatigue and thirst.
"Do as you please, but make it snappy. We haven't got all day." He started to pry the case open as I looked at his face. There seemed to be a sort of mad happiness about him as he hungrily broke the lock. It shattered easily, and we opened the case. Inside was a pair or jurs, a lot of papers, and an opera mask. I picked up the jur and nearly dropped it in surprise.
"What's wrong?"
"It's no ordinary jur, Jeicho. This is worth millions in Prontera when I looked at those greedy blcksmiths vending their equipments... " Jeicho merely laughed.
"What is it then? It looks perfectly normal to me, Kiev."
"Are you damn crazy? This is a +9 Double Bloody Boned Jur, Jei. This is something you wont waste your zennies on." Jeicho laughed again as he leafed through the papers in the case.
"Hmm... Interesting." I asked him why. "These are..." I didn't bother to listen to what else he had to say - I put the jur back neatly in the case, as Jeicho closed it, smiling. I frowned at him. he's stalled our walk long enough.
"What are you smiling at?" He suddenly burst into laughter.
"I didn't notice that we were looking at the wrong direction." He pointed to his left and there, we saw the distinct, stone gates of Morroc.
"WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME THIS BEFORE!"
