Spoilers: MAJOR spoilers for Bete Noir
The three of them sat quietly in an overcrowded café. Tony just sighed, whilst Kate pushed a strand of chocolate brown hair behind her shoulder. They were recovering. Three hours ago, Kate, another co – worker, Ducky and his assistant had been held hostage. Kate sighed, her captor's cold words echoing in her head. Yet to her, they didn't seem cold. Just like his eyes, they seemed warm, they seemed safe. But eyes can lie. Kate thought restfully of her boss, his rule playing games in her head. The more she thought about it, the more she knew that there had to be something more to this 'terrorist', because while eyes can lie, they can also reveal the darkest truths within one's soul. Kate shivered, and tried to tune back in to the conversation at hand that Tony was carrying mostly by himself, because she knew that no matter what happened in the past, this was the present, and she would be dammed if she would let a few hours of her life change that.
Seriously don't know whether to continue…..I like the thought of Kate angst – ing it out and causing a stir in Gibbs, but we'll see. Please R+R and sorry it's so short.
