Florine was lying in her bed, looking at the celling.

She didn't think she could call this a ''sleepover'', since Ken and her had school the next day.

All kinds of thoughts went through her head at the same moment. About her friend, about herself.

About home.

The two friends originally had a school project and they decided to pair up together for it. Though they didn't finish in time in class, they decided to go to the girl's house to continue the project.

She looked at her left. Her alarm clock that would usually go off in the morning was already showing twelve on the little screen. It was midnight and Florine just couldn't sleep.

So she decided to get up.

As she tried to silently go down the stairs, the clock on the wall on her right was on 12:07.

Still midnight.

The young girl tiptoed delicately into the living room, which was the room where her best friend slept on the sofa.

Midway into the room, she looked in the window. There was snow slowly falling.

She didn't hate snow, actually she loved snow. It just made her feel...

Nostalgic.

And the girl ignored the reason why.

As she heard a small yawn, she turned herself to see if her friend was alright, and it looked like he did.

The young girl sat on the ground, next to the sofa where Ken was sleeping on. She crossed her arms on her legs, and she started to watch the snow slowly falling down from the quite big window.

Several minutes passed before she felt some sort of blanket being put on her shoulders and the sound of feets walking towards her.

''Watching the snow?'' he asked her with a tired smile as he sat down next to her.

She didn't said a word. She just looked at the window, with almost a sad expression.

Ken began to worry. He tought it wasn't very normal for her to not talk. She was very shy when the two first met, but they've been best friends for over three years now, and he knows well that if she doesn't say anything, then something's wrong.

''Does it do that to you too?'' Florine asked, but with almost a blank tone to her voice.

''Do what?'' The boy answered.

Again. No answer.

''… I don't know. It's hard to explain. When I look at the snow it just makes me feel... Sad.'' She sighed as she told him.

Ken knew France wasn't her mother country. She lived in Mexico until 3 years ago, when she moved out here. Maybe she felt that way because there wasn't any snow in Mexico.

''… Homesick?'' The boy asked her in return.

Florine didn't see it that way. She actually did liked France.

But it just didn't felt like home.

''I, ah, I guess I am.'' She muttered, and turned her head to see the boy's face. A slight subtle flush crept on her cheeks as she noticed that he also wasn't wearing his glasses, which was pretty rare to see. She noticed a few freckles on his nose that she never saw before- probably because of his enormous glasses.

As she turned her head again to watch the snow, she felt arms wrapping around her and hugging her.

Florine hesitated for a moment, but decided to return the hug.

Several minutes passed before Florine found Ken dozing off. His head was on the girl's left shoulder and there was a soft and incoherent mumbling coming from him.

''Maybe France isnt that bad, though.'' She thought, before dozing off as well.
