Stevie watched as her monsters ripped the spiders apart. Soon her skeletons, creepers, and zombies had destroyed the army of spiders. She froze, thinking they would pounce on her next. But they simply disappeared.

Stevie scratched her head, unsure what had just happened. Only the strongest players of minecraft could spawn monsters at his or her will.

She had piles of rotten flesh, bones, arrows, string, gunpowder and several carrots and potatoes neatly stacked in front of her. Then she had fifty apples.

Stevie let out a low whistle and collected the monster remnants. Then she stacked blocks of cobblestone underneath her as she hopped slowly up to the top. The sun was starting to rise now. Stevie was immediately attacked by a spider when she reached land.

"I officially hate spiders," Stevie grumbled as she killed the spider. Then she got hit by an arrow. Stevie let out a stream of cuss words under her breath. Then she saw some pretty roses by a tree and brightened. Stevie headed over to the colorful blossoms.

When she straightened, she realized she was trapped in a mob of monsters.

"Great." She muttered as she backed against the trunk of the tree.

"I really should have brought a sword." Stevie said as she prepared to get herself killed-again.

She closed her eyes. When she opened them, the monsters were gone and in it's place stood a girl in leather pants and a black wool jacket.. She had a belt of spider eyes and spider silk tunic.

"Are you crazy? This is my land. My land of ores. You just killed my spiders." The girl was talking fast, gesturing with her hands.

"Oh-um, sorry. I didn't know they were yours-"

"Can it. What I need to ask you is how you spawned those monsters. And how you found that ore. I've inspected every inch of this land and I've found squat. Tell me. How you. Did it."

"I don't know, okay! I'm tired, and hungry and lost-"

The girl held up her hand. "None of that sorry talk with me. I can see you have plenty of apples on you. In fact, why don't you come over and share some with me?"

Her voice softened to a croon.

"I have food and water. A place to sleep. A kingdom of spiders. A-"

"Say what?" Stevie jolted up her drowsily nodding head.

"How do you think I got all this spider stuff?" The girl tugged at her spider eye headband.

"Don't worry, they won't hurt you. And anyway, I haven't had the taste of fresh apples in a long time."

As she turned her back, Stevie thought she heard, "And fresh blood."

Stevie was unsure whether to follow the girl or not. She decided to follow. The girl navigated amazingly down through dark tunnels and passages. Stevie was always groping the walls and lagging behind, for fear of a monster spawning next to her.

Finally they reached a huge room. The girl whipped around.

"I haven't had a proper chance to introduce myself. I am Arachne, princess of spiders." She smiled, revealing a row of pointy, white teeth. Stevie shrunk back.

Arachne's smile disappeared. "You suspect," she hissed, her glowing red eyes flashing. Stevie wondered how she had gone from being killed by a cow to this.

An evil grin overtook Arachne's face.

"Isn't that cute," she crooned, bending forward. Stevie could smell rot in Arachne's breath.

"Fear. Fear makes my evening meals tastier. Adds a spicy taste to the flavor. Use some spice in your life."

Arachne pulled back. "Servants," she called, "Wrap her."
