Author's Note: So...another oneshot. I am planning a multi-chapter fic soon. Yeah, I liked Mary, and decided to give her a oneshot. Yeah, umm...DEMON BLOOD IM OUT! Please Read and Review, as reviews make my day! AND THERE IS A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN WISDOM AND INTELLIGENCE!
Mary Winchester gazed down at her sweet, tiny boy, as his hazel eyes rested on her face. A warm maternal feeling welled up in her chest, giving her a sense of serenity. She found herself looking into his eyes, trying to see what kind of man he'd grow up to be. She'd done this with Dean, though now it was evident he was just like his daddy. Dean had been a loud, noisy, hyper, but sweet baby. Sammy...he was different. He had a look of wisdom and intelligence, his deep eyes also filled with love and prudence. He seemed different, more reserved, a queer thing for a baby. He's special, though all mothers think that of their children. Mary stroked his cheek, softly singing a lullaby. He was different from the energetic Dean. In a good way, of course. I know I couldn't handle another one like Dean, though I love them both.
She smiled as his tiny finger curled around her finger. He's so tiny, will he ever grow bigger? She caressed his cheek. She began imagining his future, something she'd also done with Dean, something most likely every mother did. If he' s intelligent as he appeared to be, he could be a lawyer or...hmm...a professor? Of course, he'll probably marry a woman. Maybe have lots of children. Mary smiled with a bittersweet manner. I wish I could've grown up like him, innocent, never knowing of Wendigos or shapeshifters or demons...the thought of demons brought her to the yellow-eyed demon, whom she'd dealt with to save John. The day of our deal is coming next week.
Suddenly, she was filled with a feeling of foreboding, and fear for her son. It can't be coincidence that the day of our deal is on Sammy's six month mark, can it? I don't believe in coincidences. But I do believe in love, and myself, and I will die before letting anything happen to any of my boys. She kissed her baby on his forehead, and another wave of fear flooded through her. What if the demon knew...and he has something planned for Sammy? What if by saving John, I damned my son? Whatever it is, I will protect Sammy, from whatever comes his way. John and Dean will too.
Over the course of the week, she meant to go buy lots of salt at the store. Sadly, she never got the chance. A week later, her sons' nursery burned, with her inside. Mary would never know how special her son would become.
