A little father's day fic that I kept thinking about, a little late since it was a few days ago. Hope you enjoy!

Early in the morning, the sun only barely coming through the window, Sam woke up to the sound of his four-year-old daughter Emma walking into the master bedroom with a big smile on her face, "happy daddy's day! I made you breakfast."

Sam chuckled and took the cereal and juice from his little girl "thank you baby" he responded. He looked over and saw that Andy was still sleeping, she'd been sleeping like the dead during this second pregnancy.

"Lets go downstairs so we don't wake mommy" he said while he got out of bed and walked down stairs with Emma.

Once downstairs, Sam and Emma ate breakfast on the couch and watched some TV. "Do you want to make mommy some pancakes for breakfast?" he asked.

Emma gave him a funny but serious look and said "but… it's not mommy's day, that already happened." Sam laughed and said, "yes but without mommy I wouldn't be a daddy." That seemed to reassure Emma that it was in fact appropriate to also celebrate her mommy on her daddy's day. Emma laughed and responded "and without me you wouldn't be a daddy either"

"Nope, if it weren't for you, today would be just be any other day" he responded with a grin while looking for the cooking supplies. "I remember my first father's day and you were only two months old, you had no idea what was going on but it was an amazing day. My little baby girl." Sam sighed as he was reminiscing.

"But daddy I'm not a baby! I'm big and the new baby is a baby" Emma responded proudly and laughed.

Sam couldn't help but smile at his daughter, she physically looked like Andy but sometimes she would give such a serious stare that would even give Sam a run for his money.

"Oh Em, you'll always be my baby girl, no matter what" Sam responded with a kiss on the cheek while lifting her up to help mix the ingredients.

Sam loved mornings with Emma, sometimes it was a little too early for his liking but he wouldn't trade these moments for the world. The house was quiet, Boo and Andy were still sleeping and it was just him and Emma.

Emma looked at her daddy and said "next year will be different." Sam didn't want her to feel left out or anxious when the baby came and reassured her that nothing would ever change between them, that he and Andy loved her deeply.

"Maybe the baby will like pancakes too?" Emma asked as she was stirring the pancake mix.

Sam laughed and responded with a "maybe"

Once the pancakes were done and Sam was piling them on a plate, Emma looked at him with that serious Swarek look and said "happy daddy's day, and next year will be even better because you'll be a daddy twice" and smiled that smile that could only have been inherited from Andy.

Sam couldn't believe what an amazing life he had.
