Alex sprung up from her bed, her heart pounding and her entire body shaking. The nightmare was too real, Alex couldn't shake it out of her head.

She got out of the bed placing her feet on the cold hardened floor; she shivered at the cold contact but carried on exiting the door. It was even colder out on the landing, she wrapped her arms around herself to help which really did nothing.

Alex pushed open Justin's door seeing his still-from on the bed. Alex stepped inside closing the door behind her and padding over to the bed.

Justin must have felt her presence as he opened his eyes then. "Hey, what's wrong?" He whispered reaching out to clutch Alex's hand.

"I had a nightmare" Alex whispered back. "Can I sleep with you?"

"Of course" Justin lifted up the covers for Alex to slide in. "God your freezing" Justin put his arms around her pressing her into his warm comfort.

Alex settled in the crook of Justin's arms, her head resting against the steady rhythm of his heart. "It's not real, okay Alex, remember that" He comforted her.

"It was scary" Alex admitted.

"I've got you, okay, I'll protect you, always" Justin kissed Alex on the top of her head.

Alex smiled. "Don't ever leave me, okay Justin?"

"Alex, I'll always be here for you"

Them words will always be in Alex's head. "I'll always be here for you"

It was all a lie.

Alex always thought that Justin told the truth especially to her. He was her big brother, Alex would never expect Justin of all people to let her down.

But he had.

Now Alex didn't know who to trust. If her own flesh and blood, her own brother lied to her, the one person she never thought would, however could she tell what's the truth and what's a lie?
