Disclaimer: I do not own Doctor Who, any of the characters from it, or any historical figure who may appear in this fanfiction.

AN: This is just a prologue, but I WILL write more. I will NOT let this one collect dust too! (Ah, how many times I've promised that…) Also, because of my recent obsession with stalking Alexander's sex life, expect some man on man loving, or at least expect it to be hinted at.

"So we've been to the planet of Pakarul in the galaxy of Hembreios, we've seen the history of yellow, now then, I'm thinking that we should go see the bioluminescent swamps of planet Xin, how does that sound?" the Doctor asked with his usual cheeriness, all but dancing around the TARDIS controls. Before either Amy or Rory could answer, the Doctor decided, "Alright, Xin it is! It should be the year 30954XC…" he muttered before stepping out and staring. Amy and Rory followed.

"What?" Amy asked before examining the area with wide eyes. Rory wrapped an arm around Amy, also gaping.

"Not Xin," the Doctor muttered, "and definitely not the right time…"

"Well, then, when and where are we?" Amy asked, raising an eyebrow at him.

The TARDIS had landed smack-dab in the middle of a large, dusty plain… right between what looked like two armies. After a moment more, the Doctor smiled and sauntered over to one side. "Ah, hello! You must be Alexander, pleased to meet you, I'm the Doctor, just the Doctor, thank you," he said cheerily, shaking hands with the stunned general. Amy and Rory stared in shock. The Doctor turned to face them, grinning. "Amy! Rory! Allow me to introduce you to Alexander the Third of Macedon, or rather, Alexander the Great."
