Alright, well first off I hope everyone has/had a very good holiday season! I wrote this after watching the most recent lunar eclipse ^^ It was amazing and inspired me to write this. Not sure about where the pairing came from, but oh well. I guess it's because I live in the desert and they do too... oh well. I was gonna post this up here sooner, but my procrastination got the better of me blah blah blah... Oh, and I can't spell "thief" to save my life! Thank God for Firefox xD
"Where are we going?"
"Outside."
"Why? It's cold outside!" Atem pouted. The young Egyptian didn't necessarily hate the cold, but it wasn't his best friend either.
"You'll see." Akefia replied, smirking as he heard the Pharaoh sigh in annoyance. They continued down the hall, and to the outside world dragging along a very annoyed -and very sleepy- Atem with him. Once they stepped outside though, Akefia didn't stop, much to the multicolored haired teen's dismay.
"Akefia~!" he whined, casing lilac eyes to turn and look back at him.
"We're here." the thief said, dropping Atem's hand. The Pharaoh looked around. A little ways back, he saw the palace and the city. And everywhere else he saw nothing but sand.
"Uhm..." Atem mumbled, sending a quizzical look towards the white haired male. All he did was chuckle and point up at the sky.
"Look at the moon, Atem." Akeifa said in a soft tone. Atem's eyes wandered up into the sky, searching for the moon. He gasped when he saw it. Up in the sky was the moon alright, painted a beautiful orange-red. It looked like a lantern, or fire.
"Well?" the thief king asked, wrapping his arms around the shorter of the two.
"Wow." Atem finally breathed after a few moments. Akefia laughed softly, holding Atem closer.
"It's a lunar eclipse." he explained, kissing the Pharaoh on the cheek. Atem blushed, snuggling still closer to the thief. Suddenly he was quite happy with the outside temperature, it gave him an excuse to be this close; not that he needed an excuse. He was the Pharaoh after all.
"Akefia." he said softly, tilting his head back on the said person's chest.
"Atem." Akefia replied, smiling down at him. The red moon made his already red eyes come alive, and the thief had to struggle to not gasp out loud at the beautiful sight. He leaned down, and the two shared a passionate kiss underneath the night sky. Atem sighed contently as the two broke for air. He leaned back into Akefia, giving a small smile as he gazed up at the moon. The thief also looked back into the sky, resting his chin on top of the young Pharaoh's head.
"Thank you." Atem said happily, blushing a bit.
"You're welcome." Akefia replied, smiling. They continued watching the moon until it had fully faded back into it's natural, pure white.
