Author's Note: Why hello, dear readers. This is a poem I wrote for Dresden, especially in the later books. Slightly mushy, but it fits. Of course, now that I think about it, it fits for most things, such as Supernatural, Burn Notice, Doctor Who, etc. Very vague.
Brighter Day
You think you're not a hero
Everything used to be so clear
Now what was black and white is now gray
And you think you've lost your way
I don't know if you'll fall
But you've worked too hard
And gone too far
And you're afraid of losing who you are
You don't know how much you've done
Saved so many
And that's who you are
You fight the dragon
Save the damsel
Fight so hard for the bright tomorrow
And still you worry
That you'll turn around and realize you've
Become the thing you fight
And all the work you've done is up in flames
You've worked too hard
And gone too far
And you're scared of losing who you are
To the darkness within
You have lost your way
You're on the edge
You're so scared of the alternative
But you are a hero
You have fought the demons
Inside you
They won't win
They won't conquer
As long as you question who you are
Make sure you don't go too far
Fight for the others
Fight for hope
And fight for all that isn't in flames
For tomorrow is a brighter day
