Cry for help

"I'm sorry" said a soft voice in the fading light as the barrel of a gun gleamed in the flickering light of the only lit candle.

Robin whistled as he watched an action movie on the huge TV in the living area.

"Man this sound system made that gun shot sound real" he said to himself as he turned the channel over to what looked like a cooking cannel.

"Learn the right way to boil water" said a chef as he poured some water into a large black pan.

"Yeah it's called a pan and heat" smiled Robin as he changed the channel to a horror movie.

"NOOOOOOO!" screamed a women before a vampire pinned her to the ground, it was about to sink it's fangs into her neck.

"Don't waste your breath nobody can hear your cry for help" smiled the vampire as he opened his mouth and prepared to sink his fangs into the women's neck.

"Yeah nobody except the hero" replied Robin as he watched the hero burst into the room and kill the vampire. He sighed as he changed the channel again.

"Three hundred channels and still nothing worth watching" he sighed as he turned the TV off and looked around him for something better to do. He smiled slightly as he noticed one of Raven's poetry books lying on the couch beside him.

"Wonder if this stuff is any good?" he wondered out loud as he reached over and picked up the book. He was about to open the book until a single white page fell from it.

"What the?" he asked himself as the page fell onto he floor. He frowned as he watched it disappear underneath the small coffee table. Grumbled something under his breath as he crawled under the table to get the page.

"Ah hah got you…ouch!" he smiled as he grabbed hold of it with his fingers and banged his head off the table, "This had better be worth it" he said as he rubbed his head and returned to his seat on the couch. And started to read words on the page.

You never saw it
You never even tried to look
You just assumed I was ok
You just left me alone with my book
I tried to make you see what I was feeling
But you never caught the hint
You where to busy talking with
friends
You never bothered to notice me
But now my cry has been answered
And finally I can finally be
free
My cry for help was answered
And death has coming looking for me.

Goodbye my friends
Lots of love
Raven

As soon as Robin finished reading the poem he dropped the page and ran straight towards Raven's room, banged his knee of the edge of the couch but he didn't notice he had to get to Raven's room before it was to late.

"Where's the fire?" asked Beast Boy as he watched Robin rush past him. Robin didn't bother to reply as he stopped outside Raven's door, his breath was short and his chest burned but he didn't care, he had to get to Raven's room, he cared about her too much.

"Raven you in there?" he asked as he tried to open the door, "RAVEN? RAVEN? RAVEN……"

Raven never did answer the door, she was found lying face down on her bed surrounded by pictures of Robin, Beast Boy, Starfire and Cyborg. Robin never forgave himself for her death and on June 15th 2004 he shot himself, a small note was lying next to him as well as a picture of Raven,

Not all cries for help can be heard, sometimes they can be so quiet that we don't even know they're there. But that doesn't mean they aren't

I'm sorry
Love from Robin.
