Diana slipped through the alleyways of Gotham; hoping Bruce didn't catch her. He hated metas in his city. But something had urged her into Gotham pushed her through the alleys.

She had felt negative influence on her mind just as she had felt the influence of the gods. This was something of the gods.

She reached an old theater, long ago abandoned, and out of repair. "Which way now?" Wondered Diana. So far she'd been relying on her gut feeling, but now she felt...content.

"No where darling." A beautiful woman stepped out of the theater, Her hair hung in blond ringlets, down to her waist. Her eyes were a beautiful pale blue color, a tiara adorned her head. A beautiful white shawl hung around her elbows, combined with a pale purple dress.

Diana hit her knees. "Lady Aphrodite." She whispers, bowing her head.

"Rise," Aphrodite ordered, motioning her up. "I have taken a particular interest in you and your...lover."

Diana frowned. "No disrespect my lady, but I have no lover."

Aphrodite smiled, making her way back to the theater. "Follow me," She demanded briskly. Diana did so, following her into the lobby. Aphrodite waved her hand and people, ghosts almost started moving around them. Aphrodite started following a family, a couple with their son. Diana stepped in time beside her, following the family into the streets.

"He was so brave mommy!" Exclaimed the boy, smiling broadly.

"It was more violent than I expected..."She started.

"Well I loved it." His father said, putting an arm around his wife. "Good old fashioned heroics never go out of style."

Suddenly a man ran up, glancing around nervously. He pulled out a gun, pointing it at the man and woman. "Money and Jewelry! Now!"

The father carefully pulled out his wallet, handing it to him. "Easy, easy there."

"I said Jewelry!" The man exclaimed.

"Now wait just a second-" He replied, moving to shield his wife.

The man fired, hitting the boy's father then in horror fired at the woman. The man raced off, dropping the gun as he did so. The little boy dropped to his knees, sobbing.

"No!" Diana screamed, racing over to the child.

"Bruce," Choked out the father. "Bruce, it's okay."

"No...no...no!" Whispered Bruce.

Diana tried to touch his shoulder, but her hand passed through.

"Bruce...why are you showing me this, my lady?"

"Because. You need to know."

This is really short, but hey! It's 12:32 am and I wrote this in a spur of the moment thing. The next one will be longer, I swear.

I couldn't remember if Diana knew Bruce's past or not, but in my Earth 18 (Don't ask) she doesn't, OK?
