Emma's Wish
The white small padded room was the home of Emma Swan. Those four walls were the only thing she ever saw. She had been a patient in The House of Gold a sanitarium in Storybooke, Maine since she was ten. The poor orphan girl was dropped there when she began talking nonsense of fairytales, and enchanted lands. Her adoptive parents fears that her delusions would affect the family so they return her back to the state of Maine where she was institutionalized.
Dr Hopper was a nice caring man but something about Emma's delusion bother him. She had come to the sanitarium with only her clothes and that awful fairytale book titled Once Upon a Time, the book was falling apart but she loved it. Dr. Hopper tried to pry it out of the hands of ten years old Emma but she would not budge. Once he manage to have one of the staff take it out of her room, that didn't go well. Emma's shrieks were heard throughout the sanitarium. Dr. Hopper had to her sedated but once the effect wore off it all began. He tried to have her bound and gag when she got violent. He decided to give her the book back and that calm her a little.
Emma who was now 28 years old still hanged on to the book. Dr. Hopper feared that Emma would never leave. She rant about how Storybooke was under some dark curse and how all the people were really fairytale creatures. She believed Dr. Hopper was Jimmy Cricket.
He walks into her room only to find siting in the bed reading the book. He felt bad because her delusions didn't allow her to live outside those four walls.
Dr. Hopper: Emma, tell why is so important that the fairytales are true?
Emma: I don't know it just is.
Dr. Hopper: Emma, I want to try something with you. Please you have it trust me, I want you to get better.
Emma: What do I have to do?
Dr. Hopper: Emma give me the book. I promise I won't destroy it.
Emma: No, I can't… you'll destroy it. The curse is real…
Dr. Hopper: If you won't give me the book then allow me to help you put it away.
He takes out a box that looks like a briefcase.
Emma: What is this?
Dr. Hopper: You can put the book here, it can open only with a key and a number code. I'll let you keep it in your room but I'll put a code so you can't open it and you'll hold the key so I can't open.
Emma unwilling agrees to his terms, she knew Jimmy Cricket was honest.
Dr. Hopper: I know I'm not supposed to but I brought you a little something to celebrate your birthday.
He takes out a small paper box and inside Emma finds a cupcake. He takes out a blue candle in shape of a star.
Emma: Thank you
Dr. Hopper lights up the candle.
Dr. Hopper: Now make a wish
Emma closes her eyes blows out the candle and wish the fairytales to be true.
