Yamcha, The Future's Last Hope!
Chapter 1: Yamcha's Last Shot
Welcome to my new series, Yamcha, The Future's Last Hope! In this alternate story, it's a dark future where the Androids have killed everyone, except two of Earth's warriors. Trunks….And Yamcha. With the two of them helpless against the Android threat and Bulma having next to no progress on her time machine, Yamcha discovers something unexpected that could turn the tide of battle! Now, enough of that….It's time to get on with it!
Oh, and of course, these characters are owned by Akira Toriyama and Toei Animation! Support the official releases!
Yamcha had once given up on being a Martial Artist, fully ready to return to a normal human's life and stay out of the business of the other Z-Fighters due to his weakness…..However, fate didn't give him that option.
Several years ago, Son Goku died from a surprise Heart Virus. While it shocked many of his friends and family and left them in mourning, they didn't have too long to mourn…..Soon after, the Androids arrived and killed everyone. Krillin. Tien. Chiaotzu. Roshi. Piccolo. Even Vegeta and Gohan….The only ones left were him and the son of Vegeta, Trunks.
Sighing, as he lay in his small cot in the secluded woods and stared up at the dark night sky, he finally decided. Tonight was the night he would certainly find some way to save everyone, one way or another. Tonight, Yamcha made a vow to himself to avenge everyone's deaths and end this Android threat once and for all….And it would all start at Kami's Lookout.
When he first got there, one thought ran through his head. 'What the hell am I even doing here?...' Honestly, he had no idea. This place only held the painful memory of when he, along with the other Z-Fighters trained so hard to stop the original Saiyan Invasion, only to fail and have Goku save them. For whatever reason, though, he felt….Drawn to this place. As if Something was calling for him.
He quietly ventured through the Lookout, it being eerily silent. With no Kami or Popo, it was a truly desolate place. Granted, though...This meant Yamcha could snoop around without any issue.
As he wandered his way through the empty Lookout, he found nothing of interest to him (being unaware that one of the doors led to the Hyperbolic Time Chamber)...Or at least, nothing of interest on the upper floors. Yamcha had heard that there was a lower level to the Lookout, but usually Kami would be there to prevent anyone from going down. But now….
With only slight hesitation, the Ex-Bandit went headfirst into the depths of the Lookout, finding a dark room that seemed filled with an ominous presence. However, something immediately caught his eyes in the room. Something Yamcha simply couldn't believe…..The Dragon Balls?!
They looked a little bizarre, but it was certainly them. Granted, they had some kind of odd Black Stars on them instead of the regular coloration, but besides that, they seemed fine. He almost couldn't believe his luck, and for good reason. How did these Dragon Balls exist? Did Kami make them? It'd have to be him, who else would it be?...Yet, even with Kami long dead, here they were.
With giddiness similar to a child opening christmas presents, Yamcha snatched up the seven balls and brought them up to the open space of Kami's Lookout. Clearing his throat, he called out "Come forth, Shenron, and grant me my wish!". He patiently waited for the usual kind of Shenron summoning, but noticed something was a bit off….Even moreso when the balls seemed to start smoking. Suddenly, Yamcha had a very bad feeling about this.
Granted, though, it soon showed the kind of results Yamcha was hoping for…..If what he was hoping for was a giant red dragon's head to be hovering over the Lookout, staring at him with shining yellow eyes.
"State your wish."
Those three meager words were enough to wash away Yamcha's worries about the whole thing. Despite it being….Noticeably larger, it did indeed seem to be Shenron. With a breath of relief, he thought long and hard as to what to do.
'I could revive Goku and the others, but….Not to be rude to them, but if they were revived as they were before they died, they'd stand about as much of a chance as me and Trunks have been….And besides, Goku and Vegeta are almost positively going to just rush into battle not knowing just how outclassed they are…..'
Biting his lower lip, the Ex-Bandit was having a hard time thinking what to do. Maybe wish for the Androids to be destroyed? No, that wouldn't work….Assuming this was like regular Shenron, it wouldn't be able to kill them.
Suddenly, an idea shot into his head. One so stupid that it just might work. So, looking the enormous dragon right in the eyes, Yamcha states his wish.
"Make me into a Saiyan!"
And on that cliffhanger, I'm ending Chapter 1! Chapter 2 will be coming sometime shortly! And for those wondering when the next chapter of the Reincarnation of Raditz story is coming, just be patient. ;)
Hope to see all you lovely people again soon!
