Ohayo! Sorry for being gone for a while! This is kind of a story to say sorry for being away!
Influenza
Julianna was not happy.
In fact, she was exremely unhappy.
It was the day before Christmas, and Julianna was in bed. Now, normally, Julianna would be bouncing up and down with excitement or at the mall doing some Christmas shopping. But, so very much to her dismay, a epidemic of Influenza had hit the school, and she was in the bed, trying her best not to jump up and do something a bit more productive than lying in bed and eating chicken soup.
But sadly, her friends simply wouldn't allow it. Neither would her parents, and her hyper other two twins.
Glancing at the table to see what she most expected to be there, a bowl of soup, to be cooling, she slowly lifted her hands and took the warm soup onto her lap, as she lifted a half-full spoon of soup to her mouth and slowly slurping it up carefully, as to not burn herself with the soup.
Lowering the spoon back into the bowl brimming full of soup, she lifted her head to look at the figure inching its way into the bedroom.
"Julianna dear, how are you feeling?" asked Juliannas mother, Emily.
"Fine mom," groaned Julianna, putting the bowl back onto the table. "Can you try to not come to check up on me every 15 seconds?"
Juliannas mother smiled, "If you're counting, then why are you saying you don't want me to?"
Julianna flushed. It was true, she was keeping count. Not on purpose though, but to do something to keep herself occupied while the case off Influenza slowly cooled down to the according reading of the thermometer.
"Well, Julianna, you should get some sleep now." Juliannas mother suggested as she walked out the door.
"Hmph," pouted Julianna as she slammed her face into the pillow "I'm going to miss Christmas because of the flu..." she said as she drifted off into a land called dreamland.
8 hours later...
Julianna sighed as she looked at the clock. 8:43. The Christmas Eve party had just ended, with the absence of Julianna recognized.
She slowly lowered her head back on the pillow and concentrated on sleeping. That is until a group of people came into her room.
"Huh?" Julianna said, as she lifted her head to the group of people standing in front of her bed.
"Hey, Julianna!" practically shouted a fully overdressed Jaden plus a scarf on his neck.
"Whats going on?" asked a highly confused Julianna.
"Well, since you couldn't go to the party, we are bringing the party to you!" said a meek Syrus.
Juliannas eyes sparkled with happyness and Jaden handed her a present. And at that moment, Julianna came to a conclusion.
Influenza was not so bad when you're friends are there.
The End
