Gray Mann leaned back in his new office chair. Staring at the wonders of the BLU/RED battle fest, it was easy to forget what he had done.

He supposed, at least. No one is the same after a murder is what they say. Well, he had just committed two. Offed his brothers. Yes, there were the working people too, and all those others... He was quite the murderer.

It was a bit sad, he supposed, that he didn't keep them around longer. He had heard that all the mercenaries had gotten into another big fight over who died first. Perhaps he should have killed both at the same time and got rid of the bodies, or hidden them. Oh well. What's done is done.

The laptop in front of him and its measly little terminal blinked. Green on black. Green on black. A straight line.

He was curious. Of course he had tried to… eh, observe, the mercenaries in their defense missions, when Saxton Hale (the obvious brute) still sat here. It didn't work out well. So, Saxton Hale must have kept a record somewhere…

And so he did! Kept cleverly hidden inside the yeti's mouth, Gray believed. It had been a while since his goons had sacked the place. They seemed to be getting suspicious of his motives, though. Gray Mann needed to be careful.

But before Gray viewed the mercenaries' attempts at saving this doomed company, before he slid that disc into the laptop, he wanted to compile all of his work. Why not? His was better.

The grainy video film only showed a fraction of what really happened. But Gray Mann could imagine it quite well…

"Incoming!" a drunk Demoman shouted, RED or BLU - it didn't matter, did it? - as several bullets whizzed by. He ran to an ammo pack and began restocking.

A giant robot Heavy stomped into view. A Medic hurled himself out of the way, barely missing taking a bullet to the chest. A Heavy stepped into view, and revved up his minigun. A Soldier fired three rockets before ducking back under a crate's cover, all the while screaming "GIANT ROBOT!" Before the Heavy was riddled with enough bullets to kill him, however, the robot fell to its feet - a Spy had backstabbed it.

The Spy, quickly recloaking, hid from all of the suspicious bots again. The Engineer restocked his sentry, then whirled around and clonked the Spybot in its face, destroying its camera and also killing it.

Done

Gray Mann grimaced. A stupid knife, honestly! He should have spent more on the robots' armor instead of powering them on money. Unfortunately, he was younger and more impulsive back then. Well now, since the mercenaries were scattered to the four winds and beyond, why not view the recordings to celebrate? Now, where did Saxton Hale keep those records..?

Really? Well, uh, probably in the Videos section. But it could also be in the Awesome Stuff section. Why was Hale so naive?

While Gray Mann puzzled out the workings of Saxton's system, his mercenaries plotted.

"We don't need him anymore."

Ah, there it is. Gray Mann finally had found it. In the Legal Junk area. Why? He didn't know.
