A/N: I had to write this for my 9th grade Shakespeare study, I hope everyone enjoys this as much as the teacher did.

Someone cries out in the darkest of hours.

What could have happened to that lonely soul?

She cries out loudly to break hearts like ours.

Where could she have been when her heart was whole?

Sadness is tangent in her lonely cry.

I search through the dark, looking every way.

If I could but find her, I would ask why.

But if I did know why, what would I say?

When your heart is broken, why matters not.

Pain and sadness answer not to our laws.

Finding solves nothing, she gets what she got.

Soothing her sadness prevents not the cause.

Suffer the sadness to prove you're alive.

Go lightly, sweet soul. You may yet survive.
