What does it really mean to be Rei Ayanami?
To have the fate of a city on your shoulders?
What it means to be different,
Different from all of them,
But all the same, still,
The same school,
The same uniform,
The same world.
And still a different life, completely.
We look the same, don't we?
Almost all the same height and a lot of the physical characteristics,
Yet we're all different,
We're all considered to be different,
None of us are known as the same,
Yet we're all alike,
But no one will see that,
No matter how I try,
Even though I really don't need to,
No matter how much I look and act like them,
I'll always be different,
They'll always be different,
Me more then them,
But what's different really?
Our lives are fixed, aren't they?
We should all turn out the same,
Even if we're considered the same,
It's redundant in a way,
We can't be the same,
But in reality,
Behind personality or in front of it,
Aren't we all cliches?
Aren't we all the same?
We're considered different though.
Different.
What does that mean?
Not the same.
But I'm almost the same as her.
As she is her.
The world tells us we're different though,
Even though we're all the same.
Don't we all live our lives the same?
Don't we go through the same pain?
Pain with death, pain with love, physical pain.
How am I different from the girl next to me?
How am I truly different?
Other then appearance,
We have the same life if you take away the details,
All life is birth, life, and death.
That's the same.
With so many other details between life.
None of that really matters though.
Death always comes.
Yet everyone is considered different.
Why aren't we considered the same?
Aren't we all, really?
Why does everyone consider us to be different?
Why aren't I the same?
Why aren't we all called the same?
