Twist in Piper's Life
(A Little Story, not more than 2 or 3 chapters)
PoV : Piper
It was a normal day. Piper had agreed to go resting at her father's house for the Easter holidays. Some monsters attacked her but it wasn't a big threat.
She was walking on the beach. Her father and her had a good day. The sun was shining, "thanks" to Apollo.
But she was about to do something irreal.
She was going to reveal herself at her father.
She was enjoying a "normal life" for the last time, she was going to lose all of that. She was going, she thought, to turn the life of her father upside down.
Piper wasn't a normal person. After all, she was the daughter of Aphrodite. She was a demigod. And demigods DON'T get a normal life.
It was why she was going to reveal her secret. She was enjoying herself at camp, with Jason and the crew.
She was even starting to like Drew (who was a turkey with makeup on her face and the kind quality of a momma bear who is protecting her children from a threat).
Anyway, thinking like that wasn't helpful.
And she wasn't thinking of how this day would turn.
She needed to focus on what she was going to say, because she was knowing that her father wouldn't like it, if she said it too fast.
She was walking on the beach.
Her father was walking too, next to her, protective but she knew, after that months spent to Camp, that something was bad in his mind.
"Piper, I need to tell you something."
She wasn't sure at first.
But she was starting to realize.
"What, Dad? And, me too, I have something to tell you… And I will need all your attention, so…
- Me too, I will need all your attention, Pipes.
- You can start, I'm already listening, said the said girl with a smile.
- Well… Greek gods are pretty real, Pipes. You remember when I was working on that movie, The Prince of Sparta?
- Yeah, I remember…
- Well, I had a dream, where I saw your Grandpa' Tom… And he said that we were descendants of one of the gods.
- Dad, which god?
- You believe me? You seem to but… I need to have your trust before saying this to you, you understand?"
Her father wasn't catching the irony of that situation. He wasn't knowing, but she was a DEMIGOD who went in the SECOND GIANT WAR the last year. But, yeah, she had to wait maybe a little time. She understood that it wasn't because he wasn't trusting her, he would trust her with his life, she saw it in his eyes.
But he didn't want to see this now, to say it out loud, now. Because, he wasn't ready, he thought she wasn't too.
But, she was.
And another thing she was, she was going to say her secret to her father.
"Dad?
- Yeah?
- It's my turn now to say you something. To be truthfully, you made it easy.
- How?
- Because, I was knowing about the gods, you know. Since the two last years, when I went to "that new school" which is, in fact the camp for demigods.
- What? Pipes, you're a…
- Mum, she was a godess. She was Aphrodite. She thought you would be crazy, if you learned the truth… So she didn't tell you.
But she loved you. You won't remember, but with my boyfriend Jason and my best friend Leo we were on a quest, to save Hera. But we went to save you too. But, you were… Broken. So I made you drink the potion of amnesy that Mom bought in sales in Medea's store (we destroyed it but it's a long story.)
- So, I think, that I can tell you who is our godly ancestor…"
At this moment, two people went at Piper and her father. They were familiar: it was Percy and Annabeth.
They were happy to see her again, judging by their grinning faces.
Piper did the introductions:
"Dad, this is Percy (pointing to Percy, who waved) and Annabeth (waved too). They are friends from that camp I told you about.
Guys, I told my dad about the fact that I'm a demigod, and he told me that in his side there was godly blood too.
- Cool, said Percy while smiling. Just like Frank.
- Yeah, Seaweed Brain, said Annabeth, pouting. Frank's LIFE depends of a FREAKING wood stick. Do you remember?
- Yeah, replied Percy with sarcasm, how could I just forget about one of my best friends whose life depends of a wood stick?
- Percy, please, Piper charmspeaked.
Ok, while everyone is calm (she looked with insistance at Percy at that part, who was muttering something in his breath like "The sea doesn't like to be restrained"), we can let my father talk.
- Thanks, Pipes. To tell you all the truth, we are descendants of one of the Big Three."
Percy was muttering "Just like Frank" earning a glare of his girlfriend.
Piper was trying hard to figure out who was her ancestor, but she didn't find.
Annabeth wasn't finding and Percy wasn't even trying.
Typical Percy.
He went to the beach with his surf and began to do surfing.
"Dad, I don't find it. Annabeth doesn't seem to, too."
Annabeth nodded.
"Please, tell me- tell us.
- Pipes, we are descendants of Poseidon."
That revelation did the effect of a bomb that explodes.
Annabeth's jaw dropped a mile to the floor.
Piper was, uuuuh slightly surprised to say the least.
Percy didn't know and it was the best for the moment.
Annabeth said:
"Percy wasn't wrong when he said 'Just like Frank'. It's the first time that he gets something right. If I remember…
- Annabeth, replied Piper smiling at her friend's antics, he got Phorcys right, do you remember? And he's like, the hero that the gods are the most proud of.
- Because, they said in unison, he saved their butts more times than they count!"
They broke into laughs.
At that time Tristan McLean was stunned.
"You seemed so surprised and you just laughed at an inside joke right now?! How do you…
- It's our ADHD mind, we can switch between subjects very fast. And it wasn't an inside joke.
- Oh, I understand."
Piper let Annabeth talk about ADHD because she was the daughter of Athena and she knew how to explain after all.
Percy choose that very special moment to do his return.
"Percy, why did you come back so fast? asked Annabeth, surprised once more.
- Those girls. Keeping asking me out. Even if I said I had a girlfriend. News here?
- Uuuuuh…
- Oh, I see. Just like Frank?
- Yeah, you just got it right Perce.
- Pipes, do you know the rules of the cabin?
- Yeah, Frank told me about it. I can go when I got bullied by my cabin. And yeah, no smoking here because it sucks for your health and for the aura of the cabin. But I don't think there's someone smoking at camp.
- I made this rule, 'cause of you know, emergencies. You got it right Pipes. Welcome to the club."
Piper was entousastic. When you have a half-sister that always manages to get on your nerves, having a cabin of rechange isn't the worst idea.
And his father would be relieved, she wouldn't be alone.
Speaking of him…
He seemed to be searching why Percy and her were talking. And what the Hades were they talking about, most of all.
Annabeth's PoV
Suddently, while they were talking about surfing techniques, Annabeth had a bright idea.
She interrupted the three while they were arguing about the ideal wave, and to be truthful, Annabeth wasn't a big fan of that sport, but anyway, she was swimming when his boyfriend wanted to go surfing so, she wasn't complaining.
"Guys, I have an idea.
-What is it? said Piper, interested.
- We just Iris–Message the others and take them by surprise!
- It sounds great! said Percy. But who do we Ir-Mess?
-The Seven, and the ones who you want. I have a lot of drachmas so, let's go guys!"
