AN: Okay so I put something like this up before but I wasn't ready then but am now so here we go :)
"Lily! Take 'em and go! It's him! Go! Run! I'll hold him-" the shouts of James Potter came to an abrupt end as cackling echoed down the halls of the Potter household. Lily ran into the nursery to see Harry sitting upright next to a bundle of blankets. Lily ran to the crib just as the Dark Lord stumbled into the room. His eyes immediately locked with the crib. "No! No please! Not-" Lily was cut off by Voldemort, "Stand aside, you silly girl. Stand aside now." Lily refused and stood her ground, "No! Have mercy! Have mercy and kill me instead. Not my ch-" she was cut off as Voldemort did just that with a spell no good wizard would ever cast. But, as he tried to do the same to the boy in the crib, the spell backfired and the room flashed green as a child's cry was heard. And all of this awoke a little redheaded child who had been sleeping peacefully under a blanket next to her twin brother on the night of her first birthday.

Rubeus Hagrid didn't know what to do. He had been sent by Dumbledore to rescue the infant Harry from the house. However, when he went to pick up the child, his leg that had been under the blanket was anchored down by another little hand. Having now removed the blanket to reveal the little redhead he was quite confused. The Prophecy had only spoken of one child, and yet here were two. Knowing not what else to do, he simply scooped up both children and left.

The next evening Hagrid met Dumbledore and unexpectedly Minerva Mcgonagall at Number 4 Privet Drive. "Professor Dumbledore, sir. Professor Mcgonagall," Hagrid greeted as he got off his motorcycle and removed his goggles. "No problems I trust, Hagrid?" Dumbledore asked, though his eyes said that he knew what Hagrid was about to to tell him. "No… well, actually yes… er- well you'd better just see fer yerself," Hagrid replied as he revealed the two children. Mcgonagall gasped, "But there is only one child in the prophecy," she commented looking down at the boy. "Perhaps in that one there is only one," Dumbledore said as he placed his hand on the girl's forehead. "What do you mean?" Mcgonagall asked, confused. Dumbledore removed his hand, "Somethings are better left unheard." Mcgonagall, though still curious, did not bring it up again.
"She was hiding under the blanket when I got there. You know who probably didn't see her either," Hagrid explained. "And he won't rest until every Potter is dead," Dumbledore commented sadly. "You don't mean-" Mcgonagall began to think allowed. Dumbledore nodded, "I'm afraid they'll have to be separated for her protection." Mcgonagall covered her mouth and allowed a few tears she had been holding in slip out. After a moment of silence, it was time to take care of the children. The boy, Harry, would go to his aunt and uncle's. Then they were left with the girl. Now where to hide a redheaded witch?

It was late in the Weasley household. The children were all in bed, the newest baby had been put down hours ago. A very pregnant Molly was sitting in a chair knitting as the dishes quietly washed themselves and Arthur sat not far from her, tinkering with what muggles called a rubberduck. It was a normal evening until a knock disrupted the quiet. Arthur set down the rubberduck, of which he still hadn't figured out the usefulness of, to answer the door. He was surprised by the three unexpected guests. There stood Rubeus Hagrid, Professor Mcgonagall, and Professor Dumbledore in the doorway of the Burrow.
"Hello Arthur. May we come in?" Dumbledore greeted. Arthur nodded, "Yes, of course. Molly, we have guests," he called just loud enough for his wife to hear. Molly walked over, the knitting needles continuing her work on their own. The Weasley parents led their guests to the living room, Hagrid having to crouch to fit in the low ceilinged house. It was only when they were settled did they notice their fourth little guest laying in Hagrid's arms. "I assume you've already heard about the Potters?" Dumbledore began. They both nodded solemnly, Molly blinking back tears. Dumbledore then explained to them why they were there, "... and so the girl needs a place to stay, a place where she will blend in." As he was explaining, Molly, being the most maternal woman in the room, had taken the child from Hagrid and was now cradling the sleeping girl in her arms. "So you want us to take her in?" Arthur guessed, putting two and two together. Dumbledore nodded as Mcgonagall finally spoke, "You have a fairly new child, correct?" Molly nodded, "Ron is seventeen months. They could pass as twins," she answered as she looked down at the poor little orphan. How could she say no? How could anyone say no?
"But what will we tell the boys?" Arthur asked. "Surely they will question why they suddenly have a sister," he explained. Ron and the twins were young enough that they wouldn't remember the seventeen months they didn't have a sister, but Percy, Charlie, and Bill would surely remember. "You cannot tell them who she is, the fewer who know, the better," Dumbledore explained. "Who does know?" Arthur asked. "The five of us," Hagrid explained. "And Sirius Black, and her Godfather, Remus Lupin," Dumbledore added. "Shouldn't she go with her Godfather, then?" Molly asked, she didn't want to let the girl go, but if the Potters had chosen a Godfather, then that's where she should go. "She should, but that environment isn't exactly the safest for such a young child," Dumbledore continued to explain, "I'm sure he'll understand." In truth, Dumbledore had already spoken to Lupin and okayed it. It was Lupin himself who had decided he was unfit to parent a child. "You can tell the boys everything, except who she is. That she needs to be looked after and protected. That they are to swear she is their real sister in order to protect her," Hagrid suggested. Arthur nodded, "I'm sure the boys will understand."
After all was settled, it was time to say goodbye to the three guests. As they stood at the door about to leave Dumbledore placed his hand on the girl's head one last time. "From now on she will no longer be known as Amelie Evanna Potter, but as Amelie Evanna Weasley."
AN: So I know that Harry's twin is used a lot especially with the Draco romance, but I'm super excited and have figured out all the ins and outs of this fic. I'm also excited for a non-romance-centric fic but there will be romance just not for a while. So it may be a while before the next update because the next chapter may or may not be all of the first movie. (PS: this fic will be mostly movie based but I'm rereading the books to add in more of that as well.)
Stay awesome,
