He watched with morbid fascination as the darkness lifted revealing well-defined familiar patterns on his skin. "Is this the best you can do?"

Looming over him glasses flashed menacingly. "Did you really think you were the only one who could use the death curse?"

He threw his head back as he screamed. The curse had taken a life of it's own. It was like burning like ice on his skin; chilling body and soul. Pain was no stranger to him but somehow this was in an all-new level.
