I'm writing down this prayer,
and I guess I'll tell you why.
See every time I say it,
I always seem to cry.

Father I don't really know,
If you are really there.
But if you are I know for sure,
that you will probably care.

Lord will you forgive me,
If I should ask you why.
I'm begging Lord please tell me,
why so many had to die.

Some were friends and family,
and many enemies too.
I didn't mean to kill them all,
please tell me what to do.

I close my eyes and see them,
I cannot sleep at night.
My dreams are filled with darkness,
will I ever see the light?

I feel my heart is failing,
my bodies aching too.
Father won't you end it now,
Am I wrong for asking you?

Life's so full of sorrow,
I cannot stand this pain.
There isn't any shelter,
against this bitter rain.

I made a promise to her,
I would never end my life.
So father I am begging,
you save me from this strife.

I'm not a strong man father,
I know you understand.
There's only so much I can take,

I don't know how much longer,
