Prologue

Westlake Psychiatric Hospital stands in the midst of a small bustling city. Local myths swirl throughout the town about the institution; making it a hotspot during Halloween for kids daring each other to actually touch the brick red building.

Some say that everyday, ten people commit suicide; and even more around the end of October. Others claim the hospital's first patient's ghost trudges aimlessly through the building- it's soul shackled eternally to the building that ended it's life. Parents even tell tales of escaped inmates slinking through the town, searching for children who refuse to eat their vegetables.

Regardless of the rumors, one thing is certain; the patients of Westlake are utterly and undeniably insane.

Every name engraved in the infamous book of inmates has been branded "incurable." Whether it be they are just resistant to treatment, or they are simply crazed beyond rehabilitation.

The children's ward is perhaps the most pitiful of all the sections. Patients under seventeen shuffle through the halls, some in a drugged stupor, while others revel in their insanity. It's hard to say which state is preferred.

This story centers around five of these tragic souls. Each plagued with a disease that ravages their mind and leaves their body nothing but a distorted semblance of normality. Each with a story itself that can drive some to madness.

However this story is especially for those few. Those who are intrigued by the twisted minds of the insane and who enjoy testing the boundaries of sanity themselves.

So, with this warning now in place, I suppose without ado, we begin this story.

Welp, what do you guys think? Worth continuing?
