It was about the time Diamond and Pearl came out. Matt was running out of titles to play, so Mello decided to pick him up a copy of Pokemon Pearl. Being the expert gamer he was, he beat it in under a week. Also, being the master gamer he was, Matt decided that he wanted to get a few shiny Pokemon of his own. And since the GTS sucked ass, he decided that the only way to get one was the Masuda method.
Matt put his female Turtwig in the daycare along with a male English one in hopes of them birthing him a shiny. He didn't realize how long it would take.
After three complete days of Masuda methoding, Matt was pissed to say the least. He'd already destroyed two lamps, and Mello couldn't even enter the room without being bombarded with death threats. On the day, L had also decided that Matt had way too much time logged on his game, and that Matt and Mello would go with him to work on the Kira case.
The second Matt saw Masuda, he yelled and ran at him with furry in his eyes. L and Mello quickly restrained the gamer.
"Wrong Masuda." Said Mello.
"Masuda method?" Asked Masuda.
Mello and L replied with a nod.
"This happens a lot." Said Masuda. "I just think that thing is evil."
