Resurrection
Chapter 1: Restored

The cloaked stranger stood in front of Betsy Braddock's grave and put down a blanket on top of it. He then put the body of a woman with raven black hair on the towel. He sprinkled a powder on the body and the grave and began to chant in Latin. A beam of light went inside the body. The mark of the Crimson Dawn appeared over the left eye. Psylocke had been revived. She gasped and sat up. She looked at the man. "Who are you and what are you doing?"

The stranger smiled. "You shall find out in due time. For now, you must not use your powers, yet. If you do, it will cause great pain."

Betsy shivered. "That's fine. You have some clothes by any chance?" He gave her a blue cloak. She reluctantly put it on. "This'll have to do."

"We must find a place to stay. A safe place."

The Hotel
The Hotel was the name of the home of the cloaked man, Barom, and his people. Only those who were welcome could see it on the outside. Barom led Betsy to her room. He unlocked the door and she walked in. "This is only your temporary home, but I hope it meets your needs. Betsy nodded and Barom left, closing the door behind him.

Betsy got in the shower. It was relieving for one who had been dead for a little while. She got out and put on a blue bathrobe. "Great to have a body again!" She exclaimed.

Betsy had an uneasy sleep that night. She had horrible dreams of what Vargas did to her old body. He had stolen it from her grave and stuffed it to display as one of his trophies.

She felt a warm hand on her shoulder and nearly screamed, but the person put his hand over her mouth. The man had blue skin like Archangel. He removed his hand. "Warren?" she whispered. "No. I'm Barom. I have only taken on a form most familiar to you. I have no form of my own."

He pulled out a bottle of red liquid. "This will ease your sleep." He uncorked the bottle and a red vapor went through the air. Betsy inhaled it and fell into a deep, peaceful sleep.

Barom stroked Betsy's hair. "Sleep well. We have much training to do."
