Chapter 1- Alex

Cold. That was my first sensation when I woke up. Nico always liked it super cold at night…or well, any time. I had kicked my blankets off during the night, revealing me in my dark green, almost black, tank top and black short-shorts. I got up and headed to the bathroom. Before I got there though, there was a knock on the door. I went to the door, and opened it. Standing outside was Brody Marshall.

"All I wanted to say is, that I-" he didn't get any farther because I shut the door. Let me explain what that was about. He apparently has an undying love for me and tries to make me fall in love with him by telling me about this love for me about a gazillion times a day, every day.

I then started walking towards the bathroom and got ready for the day. When I got out, I had on a brown dress that was the color of bark, and . I strapped on my quiver of arrows and grabbed my longbow before heading out. When I opened the door, I saw Sarla Sniper. Sarla was a daughter of Apollo that had been at camp for 5 years. It was obvious she had just sprinted here because she was out of breath.

"Sar? What are you doing here?" I asked.

"Chiron…wants…to…see…you…Anna," she managed to say.

I hated to interrogate her further, but I was curious as to why. "Do you know why?"

"He…said something…about…a will…and a…treaty-" she didn't get any further because I started running towards the big house.

When I got there, Chiron was playing pinochle with Mr. D. I waited until that hand was over before I spoke. "You wanted to see me Chiron?"

"Ah, yes. Come inside," he said wheeling his chair inside and I followed him. Chiron led me to his office Sitting on one of the couches was a familiar head of messed up brown hair, and a mottled green and gray cloak around his shoulders, just like the one that was around my shoulders.

"Will!" I shrieked, a wide smile on my face.

He turned around at my voice and I could see bags under his eyes and clear exhaustion. "Hey, Alex," he said tiredly.

"Will? What's wrong?" I asked because, usually, Will was full of life. But now, it's like he was a dead man walking.

"Halt's gone," was his reply.
