Chapter 1
A white robed figure with a straw hat walked along the forest path. He was looking for a portal; he had been told that this portal led to a magical land. The man hoped to find time travel magic in this world, for he was not from this time. He came from feudal Japan, but when he was a child an evil shape-shifting demon named Aku took over and enslaved his country. As an adult, he returned with a magical sword to defeat Aku. Before he could deliver the final blow, Aku tore open a portal that sent the warrior to the future, where Aku ruled the world. This man seeks to return to his own time and defeat Aku once and for all. He is known by the inhabitants of this land as "Samurai Jack."
After searching for a while Jack found the portal. Before he could walk through, a voice called, "Hey, laddie, wait for me." Jack turned to see his friend, the Scotsman. When they had first met, they fought in a duel, but after helping each other fight off some redneck bounty hunters, they became good friends. Jack even helped the Scotsman save his wife from a castle full of Celtic demons.
"What are ye doin', laddie?", the Scotsman asked. Jack replied, "I am going to travel to another world full of powerful magic. Maybe there I can find a way to travel to my own time and defeat Aku once and for all." The Scotsman laughed and said, "Sounds interestin, Ah think I might come along tae." And so, Jack and the Scotsman walked through the portal and made their way to this magical land.
Meanwhile, in Equestria…
Princess Luna and her sister Celestia stood on the balcony, looking at the night sky. "Do you sense that, sister?", Celestia asked. "Yes, I do," Luna replied. "It feels like very powerful magic. I think we should tell Twilight of this and send her friends with her to investigate this." Celestia then sent a message to Twilight, who upon reading it got her friends together and went to the source of this magic.
It turned out to be a portal, and when they got there, there were two humans fighting of a group of timberwolves. These humans made short work of the timberwolves. Twilight said, "Quick! the timberwolves will reassemble themselves before too much longer!" The ponies and humans ran from the scene to somewhere timberwolf free. Twilight looked at the two humans and said, "I've been to a world with your kind before, so it figures that you can get into ours. My name is Twilight Sparkle and I am the Princess of Friendship. Who are you?" Jack had seen many strange things on his journey, so talking winged unicorns were nothing too strange for him. "I am called Jack. What land am I in?"
