Author's Notes: I don't own the Prince of Tennis boys, but I love to play with them.
01. Yea, and the Heavens did rain fury upon the courts and upon the spectators and upon Believers and Unbelievers alike. And it was Not Good.
02. "Lo, my strings are too wet and lose their tension, Tachibana-san!" exclaimed Brother Sakurai. "I fear I cannot fight for Fudomine's glory should the deluge continue."
03. But the Line Judge said, "Play on."
04. Then out there came Brother Ishida, strongest of all the Fudominites. "I will save us," proclaimeth he. But Ishida he did returneth from practice limping. "Mea culpa," cried he, "For I slippeth on the wet pavement and wrenched my knee and cannot play."
05. And matters looked grim for the Fudominites indeed.
06. "Whatsa matter?" taunted the Demons of Hyoutei. "A little rain scare you?"
07. And the Fudominites begged their brethren to arise and fight and defend them from the evils of the Hyuotines. "Alas, we cannot," mourned the Fudominite soldiers.
08. And the Line Judge sayeth, "If this rain continues, we'll have to call the game and Fudomine forfeits."
09. And it was Not Good.
10. "Is there no one here who can save us?" Cried the Holy Sister in despair.
11. And none answered.
12. None, save Tachibana, Lion of the West and Slayer of Injustice, who girded his Racquet of Holiness, kissed the Holy Sister on the cheek and tooketh the court.
13. "I will," quoth Tachibana.
14. And the Hyoutine demons despaired, for all knew none could defeat Holy Tachibana when His cause was just.
15. And the clouds roiled and the heavens stormed and the lightning crashed and all feared for their lives.
16. "I'll defeat you in twenty minutes," prophesized the imp Shishido, he of the lustrous hair.
17. "I look forward to it," replieth Tachibana the Most Holy.
18. And Great Tachibana took the court, and the clouds parted, and the heavens silenced and the deluge stoppeth and the sun shineth down one lone, brilliant beam, illuminating the Most Holy Tachibana.
19. And the Hyuotines were sore afraid.
20. And Most Holy Tachibana smote the imp Shishido six times with his Holy Racquet, until at last, the imp could do naught but gnash his teeth and wail upon the ground in utter defeat.
21. And the Lion of the West smiled, and it was a smile both terrible and awful and magnificent. "I hope you don't mind me shortening our match to fifteen," quoth he to the prostrate imp, and departed the battlefield.
22. And Lo, the sun disappeared, the clouds closeth up, the lightning thundered and the rain deluged once more.
23. And Fudomine was saved.
24. And this Was Good.
Mori Tatsunori scanned through the leather-clad journal once more and tried not to snigger. Really, Ibu-kun needed to separate his journal writing from his Comparative Religions elective. Mori chortled again. Oh, this was good stuff. What he couldn't do with this, he thought, and slipped Ibu's notebook into his tennis bag.
He was walking out of the clubhouse when he heard Ibu ask behind him, "Hey, has anyone seen my journal?"
