We were at Mom's house. No one had attacked in the past few weeks so we were relaxing. Well, they were, I was trying to. I had a lot on my mind. The highest on that list being Fang. Does he really like me or is this just a phase? And what about Brigid? She hasn't been around lately, and Fang doesn't seem to mind. In fact, Fang's been acting very weird. Whenever Angel's around him, she chuckles randomly, and he blushes. BLUSHES! This is Fang we're talking about. He doesn't blush!
And what really has me irked is that Angel won't tell me what's going on! She just says that I'll have to just wait and see. Wait and see what?!
And now I'm really worried because Fang hasn't been here all day. Everyone seems to know where he is. Except me! So here I am, lying on my bed and trying to figure out what's going on.
Life's a bitch
All of a sudden, I felt someone shaking me. Acting on instinct, I rolled out of bed, did a ninja-type-thing and got into a fighting stance. It was just Fang. I looked at the clock. 5:00! I must have fallen asleep.
Fang beckoned for me to follow him. He jumped out the window, me behind him. He opened his beautifyl, black wings, Wait... scratch that last line. I followed him to an amazing mountainside. I could hear a river rushing nearby. The cliff we were on had a table sitting in the middle of it. Woah. That wasn't supposed to be there. I looked at fang in question. He smirked, knowing it would annoy me.
He pulled out a seat and gestured for me to sit there. He sat opposite of me adn lit a candle. Since when was that there?!
"I have a new power," Fang said casually.
"Cool! What is it?"
He asked what I wanted to eat, totally avoiding my question.
"Steak?" It came out as question.
Next thing I know there are about ten steaks sitting in front of Fang and I. My eyes widened to the size of a plate, which I could really use right now. A plate landed in front of Fang and I. Woah. Creepy much.
"I can make things appear. Out of nowhere. Oh! I get it!
"Awesome! That can be really helpful for when we're on the run!" I smiled brightly.
"Max, that's not what I really wanted to talk about."
"Then what do you wanna talk about?"
"Us." Now that surprised me. If you thought I hated emotion, you've never met Fang.
"Why do you keep running?" He asked. I could've swore that I heard sadness in his voice.
"If you repeat this to anyone you will get your ass kicked. I ran because I'm scared. Scared of what could happen."
Understanding crossed his face.
"Why not just give it a chance? Give me a chance?" I stared into his eyes, getting lost.
"I-I don't know." Crap. I stuttered.
He leaned towards me. "Please, Max. i want there to be an us. a you and a me." His breath washed over my face and all my built up emotions burst. I kissed him. He kissed me back, surprised.
We pulled away from each other, smiling widely. "I'll give it a chance. Give you a chance."
I heard cheering and then the flock popped out from behind a boulder. I glared at Fang. He looked surprised at their sudden appearance so I turned my glare onto them. They had lots of explaining to do. I looked over at Fang, kissing him again. They'd definitely be in trouble.
Later.
