Chicago PD Fan fiction

THE SCARCITY OF THE PAST

Chapter One

Authors Note: Hey, my lovelies, I hope you all are doing well. I got this idea from re-reading the poem that this story actually starts off with, I wrote it a while ago…. This story is based on Erin's life with Charlie and goes back and forth between when she was with Charlie, leading up to him, as well as continuing until she met Voight. I hope you like it, this is my first "Chicago PD" fanfic so just give it a whirl.

Disclaim: I do not know "Chicago PD" sadly and also have not had the great opportunity of meeting the talented, amusingness that is Sophia Bush, but she once responded to a tweet and retweeted one of mine so that made my day. J Anyway, I do however, own characters that will possibly be thrown into the mix in further chapters as well as any poems featured starting with the opening of this chapter. Take a chance on it, let me know what you think.

All my Love,

Hope

They walk side by side

Hands slightly touching

He whispered in her ear

The lovely sweet-nothings

She's fooled by his charm

Fooled by his words

A spoken grace-beautifully heard

Erin sits back, slumped against the wall, eyes blazing, high from it all. She's grateful for it, the pain gone away. The worries will set in, but for now the pain is eased, she's gone a stray.

Her peaceful place has arrived again, she's on cloud nine, breathe again, let numbness seek its way in. The blood curling screams I lash out at night will be silenced by this blinding night. This blinding light of the high, this high I now call my peaceful 'home.'

Hands shaking no more- over come by fear. The fearless me is set free. I am free from everyone and everything. I am free to unleash the new ME. A me that does have a choice for once, a me who is not on the run. I run from my life, the absentee dad and the mom who is a junkie- only worrying about a boyfriend of the night while her daughter lies sleepless and cries in the dark of night

Terror rises in again as the peaceful place vanishes beneath me. My breath is caught, no escaping. Hands are now shaking, fear regaining, my lungs trapped, air constricting, someone saving me- body's trembling, hearts racing, feet pacing, my mind's racing, reality is quickly approaching.

End of chapter one folks, I hope you liked it. Thanks for taking the time to read this and I would also appreciate it if you took a second longer to leave a review, they let me get motivated to write more. Thanks again.

Love Always,

Hope
