Note: This was a prompt from a user on tumblr by the name of princeasimdiya12, so this one's for you. This is probably going to be crackfic-ish. I've never written one before.
He and Jonesy watched Total Drama all the time, maybe just as much as they played their favorite video games. But never in a million years did Jude believe he'd meet the host himself, Chris McLean. When Nikki suggested Jude enter the Total Drama meet-and-greet contest, she meant it as a joke. Now it was a reality—in El Sporto's of all places.
Chris munched on some nachos while Jude began to stare, fascinated. He finally looked up and caught the teen's eyes. Though sort of freaked out by his spaced-out stares, Chris asked if Jude had any questions. Even though the teen opposite him seemed odd, Chris never shied away from hearing people talk all about him.
"Have you ever really learned how to chill?" Jude asked, but not in a disrespectful tone. In fact, it was far from disrespectful.
Chris was taken aback. He thought Jude would ask him about his hair or how fun it was to prank the show's contestants (to the brink of pain and suffering). (He argued that it wasn't sadistic. It was "hilarious.")
"What?"
"Y'know, how to sit back and take a breather. Letting life's skateboard guide you."
Just because this kid's voice sounded similar to his didn't mean that Chris followed what he was saying. "Dude, are you high?"
"No, but I just think you should unwind a bit. You're kinda mean to those people on your show."
His eyebrows furrowed. "It's called 'entertainment for ratings.'"
Jude maintained a chill demeanor. "It's called needing to relax."
"What are you, some sort of hippie?"
He shook his head. "I'm just trying to connect with you."
Chris's eyes narrowed. Though none of his questions went unanswered, this kid's angle was irritating. Note to self: never listen to the execs about "getting closer to the fans."
"Just open up. It's okay."
Chris–annoyed at himself, this teen, and his network's executives for putting him in this mess– abruptly stood up and said, "Yeah, I can't go through with this." He then walked away, wanting to kick this failed meet-and-greet behind him.
Jude just sat there. "I'll just be here," he spoke to no one now. Looking at Chris's unfinished nachos, he smiled and let out a laugh. "I'd never let a good plate of nachos go to waste."
A/N: Don't ask me where my mind was, because I have no idea. This was my first time writing about Chris at all, so "voila," I suppose. I kind of wrote this to get my "writing muscles" warmed up. I hope you liked it a little bit, princeasimdiya12!
