Kagome watched as the clouds started to gather, she was waiting for her mate of 503 years. It was just like yesturday when he had told her that he had fallen in love with her, and she with him.

Then drops of rain started to hit the window, Kagome sighed and put her sneakers on, it was cold and she was wearing lose black baggy jeans with a black shirt on, it was low enough so one could see the her mark symbolizing her who she was mated to, it was in the shaped of a blue crescent moon.

The phone started to ring, on the second ring she picked up. "Hello?" she asked as the thunder made its presentes known.

"Kagome, it's me, I going to be late."

"It's that bad?"

"Yeah, the rain is making the road to slick, one car has already gone over the side."

"Ok, I'll see you later."

"love you."

"love you too." Kagome hung up the phone, she looked out the window and ran out side, and spun around and around in the rain.

She started to sing a song that she had heard on the radio that day. It was by Hilary Duff, a new American singer. 'It's amazing how much this song is basicly discribing my life.' Kagome thought as she stoped spining.

'She's right, different is better.' she thought. as she watched cars slowly pass by, it would be a while before her mate would come home.

Lightning lit up the sky as the thunder made it presence known once more. Kagome ran back into house with the rain started to come down harder, after 15 minutes of watching TV the power shut off. The rain was starting to let off now, she could see a car making its way to the house.

Kagome ran back out side to her mate and threw herself into his arms.

hey you guys this is like a "Happy 4th of July" story. i'm still working on the next chapter for "hopes and dreams" so keep a look out for it.
