Valentine Chocolates
Lidia has always liked Hayato ever since he transferred from Italy. But she hasn't even been able to say hello mostly because of the other girls that like him and his bad attitude towards girls. But today was a special day, Valentine's Day. She was fully determined to give him chocolates, regardless of the competition.
She sat at her desk, solving some problems the teacher had put up while the other girls bombarded him with chocolates. She had to be crafty with her approach if she wanted him to accept her chocolate. One of her friends came up to her desk.
"Have you already given your chocolate away to the guy you like?" she asked.
"No, but I will," she said without looking up from her paper.
As she worked, she came upon a difficult problem. She tried to solve it, then paused, a plan forming in her head.
"Hayato," she called out.
He turned his head and all the girls around him went silent. She winced at the sudden silence.
"Come here, please," she said.
He walked to her desk with a glare.
"What is it?" he asked harshly.
"Can you help me with this problem?" she asked turning her paper toward him.
"Oh, sure," he said, surprised.
He looked at it a moment and explained it until she understood.
"Thanks and here's your reward," she said, handing him the chocolates with a smile.
