The Story of the DiBates Duo
THIS IS HOW TWO YOUNG MEN NAMED MAX DIBENEDETTO AND AUGIE BATES BECAME AN AWESOME WORLD-FAMOUS BAND WHOSE MUSIC IS POPULAR AMONG TEENAGE BOYS AND GIRLS.
It was a comfortable day at Max DiBenedetto's house in the rural-suburban town of Penford. It was only three weeks into summer vacation, and Max spent his free time playing guitar, surfing the web, and helping around the house. He was enjoying his break with his dad, Tomas, who took him out to the community pool, the amusement park, anywhere that both he and Max wanted.
Max DiBenedetto was a 13 year old boy known as a caring, sweet, kind, respectful young man with a positive attitude. He was cheerful all the time and always thought of those in need, such as his friends, before himself. He lived in luxury, in an elegant classy Italian-style mansion with 40 rooms, such as a kitchen, a gym, a pool hall, two computer rooms, a library, and most of all, a recording studio where Max would go down and record his own music and put it on iTunes. (This was how Max became famous after recording an album and sending it to Virgin Records to be copied and sold at FYE, Target, and other places.) Even with the luxury, he managed to clean the house weekly, take care of his stuff, and obey and respect his elders, whether or not nobody was looking.
Max was also a totally awesome, exceptional scholar. He maintained a 100.00 GPA during his tenure at Penford Middle High School as a 6th grader, 7th grader, and 8th grader. He was the top runner of the modified X-country team, had scored 500 points in modified basketball, and was the star pitcher in the JV baseball team, and was the star percussionist in the Junior Band. In addition, he was involved in the 5000-student school's yearbook club and jazz band. The hard work Max had done got him many awards, such as Most Proficient Student in Band, Highest GPA Award, the Andrew Auer Award for outstanding school conduct, and High Honor Roll.
Meanwhile, 38 miles south of Penford, in a small house in Hamburg, 12-year-old August Bates, known to his familiars as Augie, was simply lounging around the couch watching Suite Life on Deck on TV. He lay on his couch and stared at the screen. He did almost nothing around the house, except watch TV and video games. That was basically his life.
Augie was a typical teen fro his age. He lived with his mom and didn't care about anything. He thought school was boring to an extent that he has low grades: C's and D's. He did, however, play in the basketball and football teams, where he was exceptionally okay but scored points for Penford too. And between his relationship with Max, they were just cousins. However that was about to change in one day...
