"You just couldn't resist it could you. I've always assumed love is a dangerous disadvantage. Thank you for the final proof."
"Everything I said, it's not real. I was just playing the game."
"I know. And this is just losing"
He held the phone up in front of her teary face, he so smug at his final attempt at deciphering the passcode. It now read "I AM 'SHER' LOCKED." He pressed enter. It buzzed and flashed red with the WRONG PASSCODE message.
She laughed. He looked confused. Confounded and defeated.
"What's so funny?"
It took her a moment to answer, because she was laughing so hard.
"I thought you were better than that Sherlock. But I do give you credit for trying, "SHER" was my first choice. But the passcode I decided on is much better…" she flashed a devious smirk.
"What is the passcode?"
She took the phone, and started entering the code.
She showed him.
"I AM 'JOHN' LOCKED? Why 'John'?" he asked, his eyebrows arching even further up his face in confusion, and concentration as he tried to figure it out.
"It's not 'John'. Think of it like you did with 'Sherlocked'," her smirk slowly creeping into an even bigger smile.
"Johnlocked? I still don't understand."
"Come on. It's all over the Internet. It's your ship name. 'Johnlock'."
"People 'ship' us? As a couple?"
"Yes," she giggled "As do I, hence my passcode. You two are just so cute!"
Sherlock grew very red.
