After three- four?- years of nothing in the Symphonia fandom, I have returned. Can't say I'm a fan of Dawn, but I might write some Decus/Alice things. Perhaps. Anyhow, some Sheelos for you all!

Note: Occurs just after the Otherworldly Gate. If you didn't get that skit, this might make a smidgen less sense.

There really wasn't anything worse than a hysteric woman, Zelos figured, sitting just outside the warmth of the inn's hearth. Save them once from a fight and it was complain, complain, complain. Moan about traitors, complain some more. The exact things he didn't want to be hearing from the girl he was particularly fond of. Had been since he'd met her all those years ago.

I hate traitors more than anything else, she said. Sheena may as well have taken a dagger and stabbed him through the heart. Once, twice, a dozen times. Stab, stab, stab. Not that he didn't deserve to feel this way, knowing what would occur one day. A fair bit in the distance, Cruxis would come to him with a plan, they'd made it clear. And he would have to take them up on it, at least partially.

Sighing, the redhead stretched where he sat, the lapping of waves just outside lulling him through his thoughts towards sleep. Eyes fluttering, his head dropped slightly towards his chest, the hard wood of the chair not enough to keep him from napping in the middle of Palmacosta's inn.

Silent footsteps descended a moment later, pale lips reciting the same words over and over, each word a struggle. "I'm sorry Zelos, I didn't mean to snap. It wasn't your fault Zelos. I was talking to Lloyd earlier and he said-" Oh. Sheena paused on the steps, thinking a moment. Should she mention Lloyd? Maybe Zelos was fond of his 'bud' but... ah, she'd leave it. It wasn't like the Chosen wouldn't hear the catch in her voice when she spoke.

"Lloyd said I should say sorry. I mean, it's not like you aren't an annoying pervert but," she continued mumbling under her breath as she reached the main floor, eyes on the floor and she spoke to herself, "we've been friends since you broke into the research facility."

In his half-conscious state, the Tethe'allan Chosen caught most of the words, smirking at the memory. That had been a good day in his childhood, one of the less sour ones. An attempt at being a ninja, only to have a hot-headed seven year old tell him he was doing it wrong. They had quite the history really.

Oblivious to the redhead's ability to hear her, Sheena finished rehearsing as she reached his chair, looking down at the 'sleeping' figure. "So I guess I just snapped at you because I've known you too long. Sorry." Finishing with a sigh, she straightened up, trying to exude a confidence she really didn't have. "Zelos," the girl tossed out, raising her voice, "wake up."

Affected by the part of the speech he'd caught, the male feigned sleep a moment more before opening his eyes, grinning devilishly as he saw what body part he was at eye level with. "Why hello my voluptuous hunny. Here to apologise?"

Already knowing her answer, Zelos took the resulting smack easily, the silent running and snap of "Go die you stupid Chosen!" becoming easy to handle. Sitting there, the waves still crashing about, he lifted a hand to the enflamed cheek, a richer pink than his outfit, the other nearly matching as the new words she'd spoken replaced the old. So they were friends still then. That was... kind of bad. Perhaps because she ought to adore him like everyone else? It didn't really matter. At least she didn't hate him. But it wasn't enough either...

Watching his bewildered frown from over a heavy book borrowed from the school, Raine smiled slightly to herself, turning the page in her hand. Young love; it was filled with interesting developments, like any good experiment. She'd have to keep her eye on those two.

Hopefully I haven't become too rough? Let me know!
