Disclaimer;; Sadly, I do not own Kit. Fortunately, I do not own Olaf, that's Lemony Snicket's fun job.
Author's Note;; This is a young Olaf. I guess I was interested in the story behind the kiss at the end of The End. No spoilers that I know of.
And, no, I'm not a Kit/Olaf shipper.
Inspired by the Madonna song 'Jump'.

In the back of the hotel, there where two large glass doors, which opened up to a large beach, with tables scattered along the veranda, so one could enjoy some wine while watching the water.
Kit tucked a strand of hair behind an ear, and pushed open one large door. The terrace was empty, and Kit quickly advanced to the railing, letting the soothing rhythm of the water wash over her like a perfume.
The morning was bleak, and windy. All the tourists would stay inside, so Kit was free to linger around just thinking for as long as necessary.
A rush of air-conditioned hotel air swept past Kit, as a large glass door was opened. She whirled around, praying it was the Hotel Manager.
But it wasn't a hotel manager, or a brave tourist, it was Olaf. She despised Olaf, for obvious reasons.
He was wearing a slightly too-big pinstripe suit, and his brown hair was slicked back. Kit quickly turned away.
"Are there stairs or something? To the beach?" Olaf asked, joining Kit, resting his arms on the railing.
Kit shook her head. "Stairs are out."
They stood together several minutes in silence, until Olaf broke it.
"Let's jump."
Kit was taken aback. "Jump," She repeated, "From the railing?"
Olaf shrugged, "Sure."
"You're crazy." Kit said, shaking her head.
"It's only a few feet." Olaf said, preparing himself to stand up on the railing.
Kit watched as he pulled himself to a standing position on the railing.
"I shouldn't." She said, answering his unspoken question.
He simply held out is hand for Kit to join him on the rail.
Reluctantly, she allowed him to help her onto the railing.
As the wind ripped through her hair, standing there on the railing with Olaf, she almost felt care-free. Almost.
"Ready?" She asked Olaf, her hair constructing her vision.
"Let's jump." Was his reply.
So they did.
