This by no means, is not my story. Okay this one is, but the idea and such came from a Fanfiction here, and I have desperately searched for the story- but have had no such success in finding it (if the author reads this and wants me to take it down or give them better credit I will)) However, this ONESHOT/DRABBLE is my own. (Even though I'm a Jelsi fan not Ryelsi) and was inspired by said fic. No I don't own High School Musical!

Kelsi Nielsen shivered her mind still numb and trying to black out. Unlike the other girls, Kelsi didn't panic- or more like couldn't, because it was taking as she could muster to stay conscious. Haphazardly, she walked hoping it would keep her from blacking out. It was hard, she was small and frail, always getting sick, and the drugs were far too much for her.
Stumbling, she felt someone touch her shoulder steadying her. Turning her blue orbs locked with the worry-filled ones of Ryan. She gave him a small reassuring smile, which he didn't take. Sighing some, Kelsi leaned against his shoulder- his arm wrapping around her waist in reaction, to steady her.
"Sorry," she said her voice much softer then normal. Ryan shook his head, gently kissing the top of her forehead and giving her a small smile. "There's nothing to be sorry for, Kels," he replied softly.
Kelsi looked at him, blue eyes glossy and her cheeks still not pink with life. "Ry.. do you think we'll die?" she questioned softly. Ryan frowned some adverting his eyes from her seeming piercing gaze. He couldn't lie, it would just upset Kelsi he lied, she knew the truth- she just wanted to know his opinion.
"I don't know," he replied truthfully," I mean, they are kidnappers, they certainly can, but they may not. We can hope for not." Kelsi nodded some, looking away as they rounded the corner of the room. Looking down she shook slightly.
"Ry.." she started in a nothing more then a quivering whisper,"if they keep drugging us.. I don't think I can make it.. alive, at least.."
The two stopped, Ryan frozen. Sure he'd been thinking.. she was the smallest and he noticed how the drugs left her so weak- he'd worried.. but to hear her say it.. Impulsively, he hugged her.
"Don't think that Kels," he whispered to her,"we will.. you will" She looked up giving him a small smile- her eyes set far away. They were filled with the resign to her fate if they didn't leave. No fear, just a resolve. It amazed him, Kelsi never stood up for herself- was never speaking out. Yet here she was, the smallest and weakest of them- the one perhaps in most trouble, already having enough courage to resign to a fate of death..
Ryan bit his tongue, keeping himself from crying. She couldn't die, she just couldn't...
Everyone in the room jumped as the door screeched open and Chad, Zeke and Troy were dragged back in- unconscious and bleeding some. Those three had the courage to try and find away for them to escape.. and small little Kelsi in the face of death.
More men entered, carrying the white boxes that held the drugs. No one resisted this time, fearing certain trouble if they did. Even as he felt the small prick in his neck and the world started to go dark around him, Ryan was already formulating a plan. Kelsi's eyes moments before implanted in his mind.
If she could, he'd have to try.. He'd find a way to save Kelsi, and everyone. She was his courage.
