Don't shoot me for being a Webbie,I wrote this a few years back.
"Just something that rolled out of my pen on my lunch brake. I'm not very good at describing nature stuff, not very romanticly anyway, but I gave it my best shot. Hope you all like it."
Usual disclaimers apply.
Another Day
Silence, but for one drop falling from a tree into the lake. A wrinkle starts and spreads until it has gone so far that there is no energy left for the circle to grow. Another drop falls and the process begins again only an inch away from the previous disturbance. Somewhere on the other side of the lake a bird calls out and the sound echo's troughs the woods. More drops start to fall from various trees and the water is being carried further, until the middle, where it bounces into other water and melted together they produce a small wave. The wind starts to blow softly and the wave is being carried to the other side where it collides with the muddy shore. The wind blows quietly through the trees, waking up the little animals on the branches. All around humming begins and the leaves start to dance on the rhythm of the wind. Somewhere a bee starts buzzing attracted by the sweet smell being encouraged by the wind to let go of the flowers. Their beautiful colors reflected by the sun standing on his toes to shine over the damping crowns of the trees. More birds start to sing producing cheerful melodies that announce the beginning of a new day.
Suddenly a door is being slammed ripping the peaceful nature apart.
"Agent Webb we found the exact location of the nuclear tipped missiles," an agent called out.
Turning his head, Clay acknowledged the other agent's words.
"Let's get things started then," he replied coolly. After taking one last look at a perfect world he turned around and walked towards the building.
Another day had begun.
The End
Okay, okay I watched Gypsy Eyes (again), but I've got have some Webb! (Or SC for that matter)
