wrote it with a few friends for Literature class. Please review and tell me
what you think.
"Newchild 36 will be released in two hours. We wish him well on his journey to Elsewhere. Have a nice day!" said the Speaker. Jonas knew he had to do something to save Gabe, but he didn't know what. How was he going to get out of the community? What would he do once he left? How would he get water, food, and provide shelter for himself and Gabe? Finally, he came up with a plan and put it into action. Jonas rode his bike over to the Nurturing Center. Once he arrived, he asked the secretary if he could go see Newchild 36. "He is going to be released in one hour, so visiting hours have expired." "I came here to volunteer, and I was hoping that I could go and see him." " All right, but don't take too long." Jonas went into the nursery and quickly found Gabe's bed. "Okay little guy we have to get out of here and fast!" They then walked out the back door. Once they left the community, they found a cave and there they rested and spent the night. They then walked away from the community, hoping that they would never be found. "If we are taken back to the community, Gabe will still be released and I would rather never see him again than have him die." Jonas thought to himself. Soon after, They came to a hill. At the top, They found an old wooden sled and spent the day riding down the hill. "Can you believe that no one in the community has ever seen or been able to experience this?" Jonas told Gabe. The next day, They were surrounded by security guards and then were hauled back to the community. The community elders then were left to determine their fate. "All that I was trying to do was save my little brother from his horrible fate. The Receiver told me all about release and it's meaning as a part of my training. My father spent many hours caring for Gabriel and yes I said Gabriel and I would hate to see his time, care, and love wasted." The elders decided that Jonas would spend all of his recreation time for a week doing volunteer work and that Gabe would no longer be able to stay with Jonas's family. But, this was not the last time that Jonas saw Gabe. This is because Gabe was chosen to be the next Receiver of Memory and was then trained by his older brother, Jonas.
