Always with You
I was on the floor. The music was loud yet peaceful. The air smelled of sweet, sugary wine. The room seemed to blend in with the dancers. I looked up and saw the room disappear before my eyes. All that was there was a pair of amber eyes. It stared directly at me. It seemed to look deep into my soul. Suddenly the vision disappeared. Someone shoved me. Class was over. I fell asleep again. I walked around campus, bored and alone. Everyone avoided me. Because of my unusual emerald eyes. I felt a pair eyes following my every move. It felt so familiar yet not. I quickly turned around. Something or someone slammed into me. I fell unconscious.
I awoke in someone's bed. I found it was my own. I felt a sudden chill. I looked in the mirror. I was wearing nothing but my undergarments. I looked around. Where were my clothes? I found them on my desk with a box next to them. I looked around. Who took me home? I strained to listen, trying to find out if anyone was home. No one. Still I felt someone present. I looked at my clock. It read twelve o'clock. I heard a growl come from my stomach. I got up and dressed. I opened the box. Inside were a sandwich, a plate of strawberries, and a bottle of lemonade. Who could of done all this? Suddenly I felt someone watching me. I turned toward the door. I saw a flash of brown run the stairs. I followed. I heard the door open then close. I ran outside. No one was there. The street was completely empty. I went back to my room and finished my lunch.
The next day, I went back to school like nothing happened. The whole time, I felt the same pair of eyes follow me. The bell rang. Time for lunch. I walked quickly hoping to lose the eyes that were following me. Suddenly I ran into someone. I dropped my books. I didn't bother to see who ran into me knowing whoever they were they would just avoid eye contact. I muttered an apology while picking up my books. I reached for my math book when I saw another hand reach for it. I looked up. I saw the same amber eyes that were in my dream. He saw me and smiled. He had the most gorgeous smile. He picked me up and handed me my math book. Then he took my hand and led me to a secluded spot on campus. We sat under a cherry blossom tree. He wrapped his arm around my waist. I didn't object. I felt like I knew him some how. His arms felt so warm, so safe, so right. He whispered in my ear 'I love you. I'll always be with you.' Then he lifted my face. We feel into a passionate kiss. Then he disappeared.
That was the last I ever saw him. Sometimes I would find a single red rose on my desk or in my seat at school. At night, I would always feel his arms wrap around me while I slept, but I never saw him again.
