"There's something so horribly fucked up about this, Granger." Draco snapped. "I can't even fathom why this would happen unless you did something to me."
"Oh so it's my fault? It's my fault that you barge into the library like you're fucking God and can do whatever-" Hermione placed her hands on her hips momentarily before settling on crossing her arms as he interrupted her.
"-I wouldn't have if you hadn't done something to. I don't know what the hell it was but you did something."
"I don't like it anymore than you! I didn't ask you to come here. You did so on your own accord. Just like you always have. I have done nothing to you."
"You don't fucking get it do you? What does it take to get it through your thick skull? I hate you. I absolutely bloody loathe you and everything that you are. I hate your fucking frizzy hair, I hate your eyes. I hate your clothes, I hate the books that you dirty by touching. I hate your skin." He was standing painfully close to her, speaking through clenched teeth. She leaned against the stack and flinched at his proximity to her, turning her head to the side so she didn't have to meet his gaze.
"I hate your stupid shoes, and your stupid friends. I hate that you are right about everything, no matter the subject. I hate that everything is so easy for you. I hate that you don't even have to try. I hate the very blood that runs through your veins."
His hand found her hip, while the other turned her head towards him. His fingers kneading the back of her neck, she could feel him shaking. She didn't know if it was out of anger or frustration or something else.
"I hate that you have ruined everything. I hate that I can't fucking keep myself from thinking about you constantly. I hate that I keep wanting you. I hate that I feel like I need you. I hate it and I hate you." He hissed at her.
"Well, Malfoy if you hate me so much-" His lips silenced her, capturing her mouth for the fourth time that year. He kissed her roughly, his grip tightening on her, feeling like he was losing control. And For a moment, she returned it. For a moment, she leaned into him, taking his kiss hungrily and giving it back. For a moment, she stepped out of her comfort zone and met him outside of his.
And then her senses came back and she pushed him away.
"Malfoy, what the hell?" She wiped her mouth as though trying to get rid of him, but the taste lingered.
"I…you…stupid….I… can't even…Fuck!" He punched the wall of books angrily, and they toppled through the shelf and onto the ground on the other side. "I fucking hate you! I do. I really really do." It was then she realized his eyes betrayed him and he didn't really hate her at all.
