Another drabble of thought in Jack's mind. This is going through his mind when he's headed to Port Royal from Isla de la Muerta with the Royal Navy. It was originally part of What's Right By Them, but it made more sense on it's own.

It looks like I'm destined to hang after all.

The cursed treasure of Cortez, the heart of Davy Jones, the Fountain of Youth--all so close, yet so far. I would do anything to have immortality, but the Powers That Be apparently don't want me to.
Eh, just another obstacle to overcome.
