Her body felt numb. It was all so surreal. One moment, she was laughing with her friends, joking about how great they would be one day, and then their lives changed
forever. More specifically, her life changed. The others didn't survive the attack. She concluded that it had to be dumb luck that she survived, and not by how skilled she
was. When an abnormal Titan was rushing towards her, she could only stare at it in terror while her friends, bravely, stood up and tried to fight it, only in vain. The Titans
got a hold of their legs, broke them, and threw the broken bodies in their mouths with wide terrible grins. It had been her first encounter with the Titans and as she sat
in a corner and cried, she wondered why they hadn't eaten her yet. She wanted to run away, but couldn't. She wanted to die, but she couldn't. All she could do was to
wait and see what happened. A couple of other recruits jumped on the rooftops above her, shouting and yelling at each other.
"We must move!" one said, "Where?" another had asked. The rest she could not hear for they were long gone. She could have used her 3D-manueveur gear, but why try
when it seemed like everyone else failed. She could have followed the others, yelled at them and asked for their help, but she was mute. Then, after what felt like hours,
she heard cheering. Had they killed the Titans? Were they really gone? She pondered and lifted her head up towards the tall buildings. She saw a small figure, looking in
her direction. The figure landed perfectly in front of her, but because of the sunlight, she could not see their face. She tried to speak, but as soon as she opened her
mouth, she realized it wasn't human. A small Titan with big ugly eyes smiled at her before it lunged forward. She closed her eyes, tears falling, and felt how the Titans
teeth bit through her flesh and bones.
Maybe it's better this way, she thought before she embraced her death.
AN:
Angst and death, what a lovely combination, eh? The character is a nameless OC, by the way.
Thanks for reading! :)
