The Green Light

This is a small poem I wrote a little bit ago about a small green light. It's been with me now for a number of years, sitting on my desk. It's the LED from a set of speakers I have, which I never turn off, so it's always been there.

That green light

I see it at night,

that green light

I see it at night,

when my parents fight.

I watch my light,

that green light

I watch it at night

when I can't bear to see the light

I dream of the light,

when I'm far from home,

I dream of the light,

when I've lost my backbone.

Oh I see my light

My little green light

I see the light,

shinning at night

I see it at day,

bright all the way

I look up to it and say

Why don't they stay?

I saw the light today

it was saturday

I saw the light,

and there wasn't a fight.

I knew what my light ment

my little green light.

I knew my lament,

all through tonight.

I heard the bells,

the little bells,

I heard things fell,

like little bells.

I saw the light tonight.

My little green light.

It showed me what's right,

my little green light.
