This is my first Spyro fic so please be nice! I noticed in the earlier games that Sparx disappears when Spryo has been hurt three times so this is what the fic is based on. enjoy xx
Where'd Sparx go?
It was yet another mad day for the purple dragon and his friend Sparx, They had spent the night in evening lake and that morning they travelled to the fireworks factory.
Spyro had enjoyed being there because of the beautiful classy buildings and he also enjoyed kicking ninja butts! But he had been finding it difficult, some of the ninjas would come out of nowhere and hurt him. Sparx was blue at the moment and Spyro was trying to find a butterfly for his friend.
''Spyro, What're you doing? We've got the gems and there aren't any eggs here'' Sparx buzzed,
''I'm trying to find you a butterfly, you're looking a little blue'' Spyro answered as he searched for the bee. He heard a small buzzing and eventually found the bee. ''There!'' Spyro ran up to the bee and flamed it, it gave a small yelp before turning into a butterfly. Sparx chased it around Spyros head for a second before swallowing it whole, Spyro gave his friend a small smile before carrying on their way to the end.
After a few moments Spyro was about to jump into one of the canons, Sparx was right behind him when suddenly, three ninjas jumped at him. He was taken completely by surprise and each ninja managed to get one hit in, Spyro watched as Sparx went green then as another hit was placed his friend disappeared all together!
''SPARX!?'' Spyro called worriedly before turning to face the ninjas, they were making strange noises that only ninjas in movies made and he chuckled bitterly.
He took a deep breath and flamed them all, before looking around.
''SPARX? SPARX! WHERE ARE YOU BUDDY?!'' He asked, He could see Gretel waiting for him and there was a bee next to her. he growled a little to himself before jumping into the canon, It shot him over to her and he watched in amazement as the little girl killed the ninjas single-handedly. Once she was at the end he grabbed all the gems and joined her, He wasn't listening to her talking as the rocket exploded.
The egg fell in front of him and he watched it hatch with little enthusiasm. The girl jumped through the portal and Spyro ran back to where he had landed, he charged at the bee and it turned into a butterfly. Within a few seconds a green Sparx was with him once more.
''Hey Spyro! You're ok!'' Sparx grinned,
''Yeah.. Where did you go?'' Spyro asked angrily, ''I thought you were helping me!''
''I am Spyro'' Sparx said sadly, ''I-.. I had to go..''
''Why? was it because the fight was getting too dangerous or something?'' Spyro asked, feeling a little hurt.
''No..'' Sparx sniffed,
''Then why?''
''It was because I didn't want to see you die...'' Sparx muttered quietly, ''I couldn't watch it!''
''Sparx..'' Spyro frowned, ''I didn't know..''
''That's because I didn't tell you'' Sparx replied,
''I understand.. I don't think I could watch you die either'' Spyro nodded, as they made their way to the portal.
''I'm sorry Spyro'' Sparx sniffed,
''it's ok Sparx, I'm sorry for getting annoyed'' Spyro replied as they went through the portal and landed back in Evening lake. They swam to the surface together and lay on the grass in the sun.
Spyro knew his friend had a good reason for leaving, of course he wanted Sparx by his side at all times but he could never force him to. He just had to enjoy the blissful and not so blissful moments that they did spend together and hope that they would last forever.
