Shilya sat in the living room, watching the Christmas shows on the television. She looked out the window. It was dark, with snow falling gently to the ground. She took a deep breath, tears stinging her hazel eyes. She brushed back her long red hair, looking at the presents underneath the Christmas tree.

It isn't the same without you, Enlil, she thought sadly, tears flowing from her eyes. She looked at the clock. It read 12:04. Shilya stood up, ready to go to sleep in the small cottage. But something stopped her. There was that feeling that she needed to do something, but she didn't know what she needed to do.

Shilya walked over to the window, straining to see the top of the hill near the woods. She went over to the door, opening it. A gust of cold air blew in. Shilya shivered, then walked outside in only her jeans and sweater, with a pair of boots on her cold feet. She climbed to the top of the snowy hill, collapsing by his gravestone. Squinting into the dark woods, she could almost see tiny, bright lights dancing in the trees. She smiled, looking towards the sky.

She could almost hear his voice in the air, telling her how much he loved her, and how they would never be apart. A tear trickled down her cheek. Why did you lie to me? she thought, Why did you say those things? And suddenly, she knew could make the lie turn itself around.

As she lay down, resting her head against the gravestone, she saw the pretty lights dancing again. She smiled as she felt the cold snow against her cheek. There had never, she thought, never been a lie.

The snow fell softly, softly, over the gravestone and the body of the young woman. A warm breeze swept through the woods, and the full moon cast its radiance upon the grave. Two lovers were reunited at last.

Yeah, okay, I was listening to sad, romantic songs and this really sad image popped into my head and I wrote a story off it, so it sucks, but review anyways! Please?
