Day four Zutara week one of two and a half days that I actually liked the theme

The leaves fell from the cherry blossom tree to scatter themselves across the little pond it grew near. The turtle ducks swam in their usual trail, babies following their mama in a straight line. The spring breeze blew through the garden, rustling the bushes and tickling the grass.

Under the tree two little children sat picking at the flower like weeds that grew there. The warm sun peaked through the tree casting dancing shadows on the children's' body and the surface around.

The first child was a boy who held nine years to his name. His name was Zuko crowned prince of the Fire Nation; the garden they played in was his and only those he invited were allowed to enter.

The only other people ever to enter this garden were his beloved mother and the little girl that was currently next to him. The girl was his minor, only seven years old, and his best friend. Her name was Katara princess of the Southern Water Tribe. She was sent to live in the Fire Nation Palace soon after she finished nursing.

She and Zuko were affianced long before either was born. Zuko told her every day that she was to be his when they grew up and she would always respond that she already was. They were young but the love they felt for each other was real.

Zuko stood up from his spot next to Katara and extended his hand. Katara let the bits of grass and flower in her hand blow away with the wind before taking Zuko's hand.

She let him lead her into the garden. They wandered deep into the back where the trees grew so close together that the sun had trouble penetrating. Katara would have been afraid but whenever she held Zuko's hand she knew she was safe.

Even when they wandered through the palace, she would be scared to walk by herself in case she ran into those mean Officials or Noblewomen that glare down at her or turn up their noses for reasons she didn't understand. When Zuko was with her though, everything would be fine, the scary people would leave her alone, and she knew she wouldn't be harmed.

Zuko could tell that they were getting close to their destination so he whispered her to clothes her eyes. Zuko stepped behind her as soon as he saw her eyelids shut. Leading her through the foliage Zuko finally found what he was looking for.

"You can open your eyes now my sweet."
Katara opened her eyes but saw nothing different or unusual. "Zuko, I don't see anything."

"That's because I haven't shown it to you yet."

"Well then show it to me already."

Zuko giggled and kissed the middle of Katara's forehead where her eyebrows furrowed. Katara relaxed her face and continued to wait. Zuko took her hand once more and lead her through one more bush. Katara's eyes grew wide as she looked at the bushes of roses.

"Zuko…" She was speechless.

"These are all for you."

She gasped. "How are they blue?"

"I don't know but these were my secret roses and now they're yours."
Katara reached out and touched to soft pedals. Zuko careful picked one out, cut of the thorns and positioned one in her hair.

"The rose makes your eyes sparkle."

Katara kissed Zuko on the cheek and thanked him repeatedly. They took in the scenery just a bit longer before they made their journey back to the pond. Zuko looked at his love and felt proud that he made her happy; he was always willing to share his secrets with her.

I hate writing fluff but I hope I did it justice. Please review ^_^
