Gibbs was sitting at his desk reading some reports, when Abby and Kate came into the bullpen. The two women were laughing and having a good time.
Gibbs watched the two closely. They seemed to be very chummy.
"I thought Ted was so funny," said Kate. "But of course I would--I like the geek."
"Hey," said Abby. "He is my geek!" Abby and Kate started to laugh.
"Who is Ted?" asked Tony as he sat down at his desk.
Gibbs raised his eyebrows at them. He was about to ask that question.
"Oh," said Kate. "Just someone we saw this weekend."
Both men sat up a straight. Tony's face looked utterly shocked.
Abby laughed even more. "Oh, that was priceless."
"Abby," called Ducky. "Did you get it?"
Abby turned to the older man and smiled. "No, Ducky, I didn't."
"What?" the man said.
"Abby, stop being mean," said Kate. "I have it, Ducky." Kate opened up her briefcase and pulled out an envelope and handed it to Ducky.
Ducky pulled open the envelope and removed something. "Oh, I have them all now," said Ducky.
Tony got up and looked at what Ducky was looking at. "It's Callisto!" said the younger man. He stood there, smiling.
"Who?" asked Gibbs. The NCIS agent got up to see what they two men were looking at. Ducky held a picture of a scantily-clad woman holding a sword.
"Haven't you watched 'Xena the Warrior Princess,' asked Tony.
Gibbs looked up at Tony. "No, Tony," said Gibbs. "I like westerns."
"Oh, Gibbs, you don't know what you missed," said Abby. "Males barely dressed. and the women, too."
"There were men in the show?" said Tony with a smile.
"Oh, yeah," said Kate. "There was Ares, Ares, and more Ares, plus Joxer, Jett and Jace."
"Who is Ares?" asked Gibbs. He had a look of true curiosity on his face.
"Ares, the Greek God of War!" said Abby with a sigh and smile. "A man with black leather and silver studs does it every time."
"No kidding," said Kate. "It does it for me."
Gibbs looked over at Kate. He was surprised that Kate would react that way to an actor playing a role.
"The two of us spent the weekend at a Xena con," said Kate. She smiled at the look on Gibbs' face. "I spent most of the time in the room watching all of Ares' episodes in 'Hercules', 'Xena' and 'Young Hercules'."
"Hmm," said Gibbs. "I work with a bunch of strange people."
Kate reached into her briefcase and pulled out an envelope and handed it to Tony. "I thought you might like this."
Tony opened the envelope. He found a photo of Callisto-signed by the actress. There was also one of Gabrielle, which was also signed.
Kate pulled an envelope out and handed it to Gibbs. Gibbs gave her a look of mistrust. Kate just smiled at him.
Gibbs pulled out a picture of a horse. "Wow; that is beautiful," said Gibbs.
"That's Argo, Xena's horse," said Kate. "I thought you might like that."
"I do, Kate," said Gibbs.
