AN: Hi everyone ! Just a little one-shot that I wanted to share with you. It's not really a Calzona reconciliation kind of story but... I don't know, I just thought it could be interesting.

I Miss You

She missed her, all the time.

When she woke up in the morning, when she ate lunch, when she worked, when she went to sleep. She just... missed her. Everything about her. Her beautiful smile, her dark expressive brown eyes, her touch, her intoxicating scent, her voice. God, she missed hearing her voice.

When had it all fallen apart? How had they come to this? She didn't know.

Would they ever be friends? Would she ever be truly happy? She didn't know.

What she knew though, was that she couldn't continue like this. She couldn't spend the rest of her life waiting for someone who had left.

However, it was easier said than done. Because this someone, was way too special to be forgotten.

So... she tried.

Tried to move on and be happy. Tried to forget what it had been like, what it had felt like.

The love she had shared with this oh so special someone had been... everything. It had been refreshing, consuming, confusing, overwhelming, challenging, even. But oh so amazing. Maybe too amazing.

And then, everything had come crashing down. Stuff had happened and it had changed both of them. It had taken them everything they once thought they had.

But she didn't and couldn't regret any of it. She'd forever be grateful for everything this woman had given her, for everything they had shared.

The years she had spent with Calliope Torres were the best years of her life. Being with Callie had made her a better person. She had been able to finally know what loving someone and being loved in return really felt like. And she would never forget that.

She would never forget this feeling of pure joy and excitement that would consume her entire body every time she'd lay her eyes on the brunette.

The dark-haired woman's arms wrapped around her, enveloping her, soft lips touching hers, the warmth of her body against her own. Entire nights filled with passionate yet gentle love-making. Entire mornings spent doing nothing but cuddle in bed or watch TV. Entire afternoons spent in the living-room or in the garden, playing with their daughter, surrounded by laughter, joy and most importantly: love.

She would never forget. How could she?

But somehow, a part of her wanted to. Because remembering everything, every minute of every day, was exhausting.

She was tired of living in the past, tired of reminiscing... tired of trying.

Deep down, she knew that no matter how hard she tried, Calliope Torres would still haunt her dreams. She'd forever be a part of her.

So, she had to accept it and live with it. She had to move on and understand that it was how it was. She couldn't do anything about it, it was out of her control.

What she could do though, was create new memories. She could experience new things and make the most of them. With her daughter and maybe with someone new.

At least, that's what she told herself.

Because she deserved a shot at happiness. She deserved it and needed to feel it again, to embrace it.

But...

She missed her, all the time.

AN 2: I know it's short but I had this in mind and decided to write it. I'd really like to know what your thoughts are on this one-shot 'cause I hadn't planned on writing it. It just came out of the blue. So, feel free to review or send me a PM :)

Thanks for reading! Xoxo
